  1. I'm in web design and development not print. Photoshop is our go to and Affinity Photo is the Photoshop killer so one would only assume the guides go outside the document as in Photoshop. Check out my screenshot, it's impossible to see the pixels that the guides line up with. Furthermore, when using certain colours it's equally as hard to determine what is a guide and what is an object when using thin borders and straight lines. For all you could know I've put a thin border on the red columns.
  2. That's ok I own Affinity Designer also so I must of seen the lines there and got them mixed up. It would still be nice to have the option to do that though Thanks.
  3. Hi MEB, thanks, but there's no such option on here. I'm not sure if I am explaining correctly so basically I want my guides (the blue lines) to meet the ruler at all times, not just when I'm dragging them. The second attachment shows the guide touching the ruler as I drag one across the document. That's how I want it to be at all times, not just when dragging. The third attachment shows my guides contained inside the document. This is what happens once I stop dragging a guide. This is what's bugging me.
  4. I'm pretty sure my margins used to show outside the document like photoshop but all of a sudden they're gone and it's bugging the hell out of me? How do I make them show again?
  5. It would be cool to have certain user settings (mainly custom color palettes & swatches) sync between the entire Affinity suite once released. It would save me hours in duplicating colors in each application ;)
  6. Exporting in Affinity isn't the same as Photoshop's 'Save for Web' feature. The whole point of 'Save for Web' is to optimise images for the web by removing a lot of useless metadata from the images like camera model, time, white balance, etc. This reduces image file size dramatically making it optimal for a web designers and developers. Exporting JPEG files with Affinity Photo seems to reduce the file size more than Photoshop's 'Save for Web' feature. But Photoshop's 'Save for Web' feature reduces a PNG file by roughly 30% more than exporting with Affinity Photo. It would be great to have a similar feature in Affinity so users can preview the image as they're optimising it and get a similar file size to one that's exported from Photoshop using 'Save for Web'.
  7. Thanks Hokusai, Do you know if there is a way of creating a custom named palette that can contain only my swatches?
  8. Is there a way to create custom swatches? I would prefer to create a separate pallet but I can't even drag a swatch to an existing one. The color picker on the gradient FX tool is broken so I can't color pick from 'Recents'. This is frustrating the bejesus out of me.
