  1. For some reason Amazon is converting and uploading my Sony A1 raw files (.ARW) as .DNG raw files. When downloaded to my Windows 11 PC and opened in Affinity 2 they exhibit a strong purple cast. The same image opened in Photoshop via Adobe Camera Raw displays normally. Bug?
  2. Even though I have all 3 Affinity V1 programs (and two licences for Affinity Photo!) I see no upgrade path to V2? What happened to brand loyalty or are we all set for a an escalator of V2, V3, V3, V4 when 99% of each program is the same as previous version? I notices SERIF has STOPPED development on the V1 suite many months ago when updates ceased so I was expecting new version but DID EXPECT NO UPGRADE PATH? I think we should be told. Is not a series of V1, V2, V3, V4 the same as Adobes continuously licensing but presented in a different manner? You underestimate the intelligence of your customers.
  3. Well Mark, I taught Developers for over 25 years so know well that they are likely to not be Legal Experts as well. However 'washing your hands' of the matter when you represent Serif on this Forum is appalling Customer Service (you should have found someone that does know and pasted their response in). Better luck next time with Customer Service, we all live and learn (and work). Few work roles nowadays do not include Customer Service elements and certainly not those on public forums! On a more positive note ... nice Profile picture ... fine dog.
  4. Thanks to all that have replied and it is clear (if you excuse the pun) that this is still not clear to all? So may two members (non commercial) of the same household use Affinity on the single licence at the same time? Are their photographs merged by Affinity or can they live on discrete (different) PCs? I think clarification of this is holding up the purchase and uptake of Affinity for some that might change from ADOBE products. Perhaps Mark as SERIF staff can give the definitive answers. Quasi-legal gobbledegook in Licencing terms is never clear.
  5. Just to be clear. I do not own Affinity. I did participate in the beta and even posted images when requested.
  6. Firstly apologies for placing question in here but it appears to be impossible to ask a question or start a new topic not about the IPAD. This question concerns the full commercially released Affinity Photo and IS NOT ANSWERED BY FAQS Can two individuals in the same household use a single licence of Affinity Photo. Each individual (my wife and I) own and use a desktop PC and a laptop PC and have our own photograph collections. We are not professionals or commercial. This scenario must be very common. Can any Affinity/Serif Professional answer this or forward on to a responsible person? Thanks.

  8. Exporting a Tif file adds the file type .tiff not .tif I know both are acceptable but .tif is done by everyone else so AFFINITY should conform. cheers Ian
  9. Hello, I am currently editing my first Nikon .NEF file in AFFINITY 1.50.35 and the screen refresh from moving the sliders is excellent. A small but import criticism is that the split screen showing before and after is swopped (in my opinion). It is more comfortable and more logical (thanks SPOCK) the other way around. After all we say 'Before and After' not 'After and Before'. I shall continue using AFFINITY (good name by the way). Let me know if this is the sort of feedback you want please? cheers Ian
