Yes sorry that statement from me was wrong, it'll be in 1.6.3, which should be out today.
We did a quick 1.6.2 just to update the social media references, so it had no actual bug fixes in.

sorry for the late answer, I had to seach it again (watch to much youtube hehe) Its in German.
A little explanation, first he does it in Photoshop, after that he does it Affinity (Current Version) and the last one is in the Mac Beta. I like how he makes a drum effect before he uses the Shadow Slider since its really something many people are looking forward too  (oh just noticed you are from Germany lol)
 
 

Yes 1.6.1.93 is the latest retail and latest customer beta.
 
There will be a new 1.6.2.94 beta at the end of the week (improved Shadows & Highlights algorithm in Develop Persona).

White paper on white background. How to see the border? In PS, the document has a shadow, AP has a problem.

If the background color matches the color of the document, this should not be a problem. Add a stroke or some sort of effect, so that the border can be discernible.

It will be in the 1.6.2 beta, as soon as 1.6.1 ships.

Hey, the new Shadows & Highlights in the latest Mac Beta is already highly discussed in the social media and the feedback is very positive!
Especially the new shadows recovery works absolutely great now and get a fantastic review. Well, the highlights recovery is better now as well, but still potential for improvements.

Im near always happy with AP and AD. The Workflow is great, the programms are stable for hours of work per day and I made many artworks and prints for my clients this year with it.
I think you all affinity guys make and made a great job with it.

But, sorry to bother again, is the RAW Development Persona still on your to do list? Or is it the hated little child in AP? There are no changes within the last Betas for editing or loading RAW Files and other important functions like preset management, highlight and shadow recovery and many more. Im looking forward to finally see some steps there in the next Betas.

may this helps, but Im sure, you already know this.

We'll soon be testing out a new Shadows and Highlights algorithm in Develop (1.6.2). We are still looking at Develop, it's just that's one of the most complicated areas of the program, so changes are slower to implement.

With 1.6 recently released, I would like to propose ideas for the next (or a further future) release. This is of course a lot to implement, but this topic is meant to share individual ideas that could possibly be added. Of course, that is all up to Serif. I was trying to think of features not actually in any other vector drawing program (with the exception of the last) but could still come very handy. This is what I came up with. I hope you like them.    Gap Tool Painting over a stroke region of a shape will hide the stroke of that region. It works similar to a mask. You can add and remove part of an erased region (Add and Subtract modes), but it will keep the fill as remained, and it will keep the strokes with the proper end caps. (This tool only works with strokes.) Just like the Gradient and Transparency Tools, this editing can be removed at any time.   There is a way to currently do something similar, but it is does not have the same advantages.     Track Tool This is another idea to add changes to a “region” of a stroke. This tool comes with a list of line presets (wavy, hairy, bubbly, zigzags). By brushing over a region of a stroke, that region of the line will update to that preset. This doesn’t just show two line presets on the same line, but it shows them forming as the fill stays in the boundaries. There is also a slider to adjust the distance. And changing the stroke pressure would adjust the size. This would be good for smooth water with a ripple effect in one spot.   Parallel Tool This tool looks like a horizontal line with two small vertical lines on the ends. You must select at least two objects in order to use it. It will calculate the distance between the shapes followed by a slider to adjust the distance. While changing the distance, the shapes will either get closer or get pushed away. If three or more objects which are different distances are used, they will automatically be realigned. This tool would come in a “Space” mode and a “Trim” mode. The Trim Mode would adjust the distance by trimming the shapes, and not pushing them away or further. Of course, you would not be able to increase the trim pass the default shape size. (The different shapes must have a parallel region in order for this tool to be used. In doing so, the tool will adjust the distance from that parallel angle.)   Auto Color Studio This is the idea to introduce a new tab that shows all colors of objects selected. By changing a color through that tab changes all selected shapes that use that color. For this, you can change the color from either that selection, or the whole document, but it must be the "exact" color properties.   A feature in TVPaint gave me this idea.    

In Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator we always had the option to change the size of your layer thumbs.

A dedicated tab stop setting with easy sliding tab setter handles with right, left, center and decimal value alignments. Can be controlled by toggle key like control T or may other alphabet. Also with buttons like reset, apply, delete tab, ok. And also tab stop value input for those uses perfect value inputs.. Or may be like as used in series pageplus editions or coreldraw or adobe's Pagemaker.
Just request and suggestion to update in next updated editions.

Hi. I have created web design layout like 20+ pages (artboard).
 
Most artboard is created by duplicating previously created artboard.
 
When it's time for exporting using export-persona, but I am really disappointed that Affinity Designer didn't create slices from my artboards (the only slices created are my first 5 artboards that I created using "Insert Artboard" button.

Now, what I really need is a simple button like "Create Slices from Artboards" that will generate slices from existing unsliced artboards, with artboard names as the slice names.
