  1. I have a number of files in SPP format, and I'm afraid I may hit a "technical obsoletion" at one point, if a newer version of Windows will not work with PhotoPlus or such. I'd rather migrate my photos to new format. If, I could export to PSD with layers, then I could spend some time to make adjustments etc. But now I can't and might as well export to 16bbp PNG files. NOT a good solution.
  2. Can you post specific scenarios? Does it crashes? Can you find any dump files?
  3. Oh, ok. This explains why I was not able to find this on "fixed" list. Shudl be listed in "known issues" at least, then.
  4. I've just tested latest version and I have this problem with healing brush.
  5. Hi, would it be possible to make the "tick" mark by the layer turn off all layers except clicked when alt-clicked? I usually have a base layer and a number of correction layers, If I want to disable all layers (ie. to do some work on it, or to add another pixel layer (ie. to work with healing brush)), I need to click all my layers (yes, grouping is a work-around, but sometimes I have sets of groups and and don't like to stack groups within groups etc.) while alt-click could work here too.
  6. Sometiems you close the beta and do some polishing/cleanup, sometimes you do this with the beta. That's why I was asking. Thanks for the info, can't wait :D
  7. Hi, take a look at this short video, it should answer most of your questions: https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index.php?/topic/28434-affinity-photo-windows-example-editing-videos/
  8. Hi, as we understand Photo is in Beta and should not be used for production (thou I'm starting to using it) and my question is: once it's out of Beta how long will we have to wait before we can buy it? And what's the expected price?
  9. I'm guessing half of this is what you just want to do "as in PS CS6", I have the same with PhotoPlus, where I assume something should be done as it was or really similar. Now I'm trying to avoid this attitude and it gets to be much easier.
  10. Hi, I often work on a number of phots at once (i.e. from same photo shoot) and I'd like to periodiclaly call "save" on all open files (for safety if somthing goes wrong), but for now I can only go to each file and save it separately.
  11. Yeap, that would be nice to have (like FB "preview" @2048px longer edge).
  12. Hi, this is more of a idea that you could prepare a tutorial/video/similar. that presents the major differences and ideas that would make transition from PhotoPlus to Photo as smooth as possible. This could be also made for other editing software (*cough* photoshop *cough*) to make such transitions easier. Highlight should also include whats missing (of key features) or done in a different way.
  13. Might as well export to PNG, it does the same, that is merges into one layer. That's not what I need.
  14. Just did "reset macro library" and I have the same names. The reset worked since it removed my custom macro.
  15. Hi, would it be possible for You to create some sort of import-from-PhotoPlus functionality? I have a number of rather large files (up to 750mb sometimes) and manually exporting all the layers/maska somehow will probably fail in so many places.
  16. Good to know, I'll try it since I think I only did unsharp mask and I had this problem .
  17. Hi, can you post your PC specs? I'm guessing you mean the splash image when Photo starts? Does the application work sluggishly too once it opens?
  18. Hi, a simple scenario: 1) Open a jpg image (ar create a new one) 2) Activate brush tool ( B) 3) Hold space 4) Start dragging around Notice that the brush leaves a mark on the place you start dragging around only. These also appear as new events in history.
  19. The tone mapping macros have all very strange names so these are cofusing. "Dessert port" is remove metadata. "Pristley" is flip horizontal (why a macro for this anyway?). "Cream" is flip vertical (same question here). "Averna" is add B&W A.L. and merge down. "The 70s" is convert colour, twice.
  20. I noticed this too, it seems the more files you have open the more often this will happen and I'm not sure it's zooming or just using mouse scroll. Unfortunately I can's seem to find any dumps, maybe these were sent automatically.
  21. Hi, Thank you for this comprehensive explanation. I'm doing stuff that mostly ends up in Web (Facebook, jpeg OR png) and in Print (rarely and in JPG since it's cheap auto-photo-labs). I'm aiming for maximum reproducibility for end viewers, so when I upload a photo I'm aiming at sRGB since it's most compatible with screens and telephones (some displays have wide Gamut, but it's not that often I think). I've had a calibration tool used on my display and I have a calibrated monitor profile for my display. I've now re-added that to my Windows Color Management functionality. Now I'm not sure if I should also convert my images to my (calibrated) display profile OR should I leave them in sRGB as they are now? I understand that when exporting I'm choosing the target ICC I want to fit in, right?
