  1. Hi, I'm using latest beta, and I'm trying to use vignette filter on one of my layers/groups only. While it does affect only one layer/group it's still calculating it's size from whole canvas, not the group/layer it's attached to.
  2. "Approximately 200 other fixes" this is not "changelog"/"changelist", this tag is wrongly used here :/ Also, will test over coming days :D
  3. Hi, I've used surface blur a couple of times in PhotoPlus, is there something similar in Affinity Photo? Or have I missed something? Basically it allows to setup blur to only affect non-detailed parts, to smooth out bad gradients or such.
  4. I guess it's a case of "lost in translation". Many non-native speakers write here, so it happens :)
  5. hi, ad. 1) You can alt-click any layer (in layers tab) to show only this layer ad. 2) The best you can do is alt-click a layer to select all layers between current and clicked then dis/en-able all selected with one of the check marks. Edit, it's alt-click not shift-click if I remember correctly now.
  6. Hi, can you give us some rough ideas what is planned for develop persona? I'm personally looking for sidecar settings saving and improvements to gradient overlays (more coloring and lighting, for example, in develop persona, similar to what's here: ). Have a nice day :)
  7. Hi, I want to look for improvements to non-destructive freq separation. I can add a new layer to each layer, but it's not possible to easily use clone or healing brush with these pixel layers. Something like source: "grouped layers". Hope you can think about this :)
  8. Hi, I think that brush rotation value should be treated as an absolute value, so that it's (random) jitter is also working in absolute terms. I'm trying to simulate some particles (sparks) and depending on the direction I choose for them, I get bigger or smaller jitter. For other values it seems that jitter ranges are independent of the slider position (ie. ranges shown in "more" dialog, are always the same). This may also be a bug in the "more" dialog. After some testing it seems that most percentile values have their jitter ranges as function of current value. Thus I renamed the problem and request more generic approach where you can set any of the values to be absolute (ie. checkbox).
  9. That's odd... if I'm on color tab, I thought I've already switched to color from gradient.
  10. Sorry, Here's a verified way to check this: 1. Add two text layers 2. Set both to sunset style 3. Disable layer FX for both layers 4. Select both layers 5. Try changing tint, you will notice that the "fill" preview will be flashing. I'm not sure if they need to be put in the same group or not.
  11. Hi, seems the fix in .52 is partial only. 1. have two layers 2. set bot to same color/tint 3. Select both with move tool 4. Try adjusting tint, notice the glitches. You can't actually change the color.
  12. KiboOst, the "Save as..." as format sector is a old paradigm. All new apps and many old ones use (or switch to) "export" as a preferred way of selecting output other than native. Also, Sean P, is it possible to get to know .afphoto file format for developers to adapt to new format?
  13. Ye, I, once again, found out that liquify as layer would be cool. Then I rembered I already wrote about it.
  14. Hi, this is for build 47. 1. Have two text layers. At best in two separate rectangle layers. 2. Set both layers fill to same color and tint (ie. black) 3. Select one and change layer fill Tint to white (0%) 4. Select the other later, notice the fill color gets updated but once it's pop-out the tint slider is in wrong position.
  15. FYI, a CR2 file is 14bpp (or 10bpp). This means one pixel is taking 14 bits, that "compresses" RGB data a bit (gross simplification, I know). When RAW is possessed it's changed into 3x8bit or 3x16 bit (or even 3x32bit): RAW/DNG 14 bits/pixel -> 88.1 MB BMP RGB 3x8 bit/pixel -> 151 MB TIFF CMYK 4x8 bit/pixel -> 201 MB OPENEXR RGBA 4x16 bit/pixel -> 403 MB See: http://toolstud.io/photo/megapixel.php?width=8688&height=5792&compare=video&calculate=uncompressed#calculate
  16. Hi, is it possible to export two slices in Export Persona into one file (ie. pages in pdf)?
  17. Hi, when I work with my image and crop it, my layers don't get cropped (even rasterized/pixel layers), But when want I rasterize a layer, it'll get cropped. This seems counter intuitive to me, maybe do this as an option?
  18. Ye, being able to copy over settings from release version to beta with ctrl sounds nice. It also test upgrades from release version to release version.
  19. Hi, I've installed latest beta and I noticed my settings/studios/macros/etc. were not the same, I know it uses different directories, but I could (at first launch of new version) copy over the settings from previous version (or better, ask If I want to do it). This would make sense to be able to test how APh works with *my* settings/setup.
