  1. I just confirmed it also. Photoshop CS6, Light Room 6, and PaintShop Pro X8 all display the image about the same size as each other regardless of Windows Display scaling. They seem to display an image pixel for pixel to match the monitor's hardware. Light Room and PaintShop Pro definitely scale up their interface elements as they should, but the work space stays matched to the monitor's pixels. Affinity Photo seems to be scaling it's work space along with the interface elements if Windows Display Scaling is above 100%. Seems like this should be classified as a bug. I would think most people would want to see all the pixels that the display can create to make use of a 4K display. I guess the exception would be if Affinity is still making use of all the pixels in the display, even if we zoom out to 50%. In other words, if Windows scaling is set to 200% and I open a 1024x768 image and zoom to 50%, will I still be seeing all 1024x768 pixels or will Affinity Photo scale that down to 512x384 and let Windows scale it up?
  2. Are you saying that an 800x600 image takes up more screen space at 100% zoom in Affinity Photo than it does in Lightroom and Irfanview?
  3. Oh. I guess that will work. From a user experience perspective it might be nice to also include a button on the New Document dialog in the dimension box that says match to clipboard. It would give a little more flexibility.
  4. I'm not sure if this should be considered a bug or a new feature request. It would be nice if Affinity Photo would check the Windows clipboard when creating a new image and set the dimensions to match. Photoshop does this and it is a huge time saver for me.
  5. As a suggestion for when you start working on a lighter interface, take a look at Adobe Premiere and AfterEffects. They have a brightness slider in Edit > Preferences > Appearance that lets you adjust the brightness of the background and when it reaches a certain level it inverts the icons and text on the fly. It's pretty nice. I mean, if you are going to go to all the trouble of redesigning all your icons for light and dark, might as well give everyone a first class experience.
  6. I think you can manually add an app to the "Open With" dialog if you choose "Choose Another App" (on Windows 10). Probably similar wording on Windows 7. It will then be in the larger list, but the more you use it the more likely it becomes one of the first options I think.
  7. Isn't there an official non TWAIN method of 64 bit support in Windows? For example in Photoshop 64 I'm seeing VueScan which I purchased separately and then "WIA Support" that Windows provides by default. I'm assuming that VueScan is just presenting itself as a WIA client and Photoshop automatically sees it. Maybe WIA support could be on the road map after the official release.
  8. The selection cursor disappears on a black background. I'm assuming it's a bug or oversight since most of the other cursors have an outline. It would be good if the selection cursor had a white outline so it could be seen on a white or black background.
  9. You are already doing Alt + Left Click to subtract, why not Shift + Left click to add? Also it would be nice if the cursor changed to show if it was adding or subtracting.
