  1. Ok cool, I was hoping there was something I had missed in the strokes panel. Thanks for your help
  2. In Affinity Designer I have a doughnut shape that the outer circle I want to have no stroke but the inner circle I want with a stroke but I'm not finding a way to do this. Should I duplicate the doughnut, remove the nodes for the outer circle leaving the inner stroke I want visible instead?
  3. Does Publisher have a way to gather all the resources a document is using eg. fonts and images and export them to a folder? I want to share a Publisher document so they can edit it and then they can send it back to me.
  4. The "New Textured Image Brush" is working better for me than using "Art Text". I need to clean up my mask layer but least it behaves better than the Art Text tool.
  5. Hmm I'm not getting it to follow the path its weirdly placing them in a straight line but if you adjust the path the Feet don't follow the path as I showed in my mock up. I also remember in Freehand you could tell the line type to scale the symbols either from the start or the end of the path (I've attached another Mock Up)
  6. Hi I used to use Aldus Freehand many moons ago and I remember you could draw a symbol and then make that symbol be a custom line type. So I am trying to find a the equivalent in AD but I have not managed to find a tutorial or to work out some way of doing it with Custom Brushes. I maybe searching for the wrong term as I have no idea what it would be called in AD. Anyone able to point me in the right direction, thx? I've attached a screenshot of my mock up of what I am after.
  7. I was asked to do a drawing for a nautical themed towel, as you do. One of the requirements was it had to include Neptune, so I rummaged about on the internet and came across the mural painted on the dome to the White House, perfect! I had only one evening to get it done so some Cherubs got omitted plus the fella guiding the horses. Looking at it now I see I needed to do some more work on the Neptunes Chariot/Shell dooh!
  8. Hi I have had to reformat my Mac Pro's hard drive and then upgrade OSX to Mojave. When it came to reinstalling Affinity Designer and Photo I downloaded the apps from my Affinity account but the software asks for a Product Key which is not displayed on the my Account's Download page. However for Publisher it does display a Product Key. Publisher installed fine but I cannot complete the installation of Designer and Photo as I don't know where to find the Product Keys. Any ideas? Thanks for any help Graeme
  9. Cheers thanks for that link I’ve got a deadline for Friday and that looks like it’s going to do the job
  10. Same here! I was searching to see if anyone here had found a solution. Looks like I will have to go back to first principles
  11. I used to use Freehand and I was able to do text with multiple strokes. However in Affinity Designer I haven't found a way to do this without duplicating text and then messing about with the stroke widths/font size. Am I missing something or is what I'm doing the only way to do it? Below is an example I did using Freehand
  12. I would like to upgrade to 1.5 but the App Store says everything is up to date and I can not find an "upgrade/update" menu command. Is it because my iMac is getting a bit old? Model Name: iMac Model Identifier: iMac7,1 Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2 GHz Number of Processors: 1 Total Number of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 4 MB Memory: 4 GB Bus Speed: 800 MHz Boot ROM Version: IM71.007A.B01
