  1. Been looking into this again...... I found something interesting... I work in separated window mode. I pick a color in the drawing I am doing, and everything works OK ! I pick a color of another open window, and the colorpicker goes to white as in previous picture I recored the problem, but Vimeo makes me wait for 45 minutes before I can post it. So I will post asap.
  2. I can attach perfectly the keystroke to the tablet, but not to the stylus. I mean I can attach the key, but it does not work... The tablet is a month old. an Intuos Pro Medium. Hope this can help you guys !!
  3. to continue on the topic of th e colorpicker: I can get it to work as expected, if I use the alt key whilst dragging the stylus. If I use the assigned key, attached to my stylus button, it's going wrong big time. could this be my (Belgian) keyboard saying "alt" instead of "option"?
  4. New beta, same problem, sorry. Also tried a restart, resetting everything else, no use. Drivers are the latest.
  5. Right, Matt, but it jumps to this, as soon as I change from mouse testing to stylus. I set the opacity right again, when I used my stylus, but as soon as I start sampling, it goes back to the image shown before...
  6. I'm affraid it's completely broken, now.... With the mouse I can select colors as expected. With the wacom stylus, nothing works, it gives always this.(see image) The wheelcolor is on black, and the two selected colors (foreground/background), as well as the colorpicker swatch all change to white....
  7. I'm affraid I have to report back on the colourpicker issue. It took me quite a bit longer to have it a first time, but there it is again....The blueish tint for fleshtone..
  8. Looks like you are right, Andy. I tried a few times ,and indeed colorpicking with the mouse works as expected....
  9. i'll try as soon as possible, cannot come to my mac today. Now I'm off for a live gig until tomorrowmorning
  10. Just tried the new Beta.... If there's change in the picker behavior, I didn't notice. The wrong blue color pops up just as bad as before. Sorry....
  11. This concludes my Frenzy on painting stuff with AP.. I am getting addicted to it. I had a week of vacations, and so I could get used to the stuff a bit. You can see if you browse this topic, that I feel more and more comfortable with the painitng engine.. This could very well become my prime painting app.. Hope you like this one....
  12. Working on a commission in another program, but needed a break. Meanwhile I could try out a few new brushes....
  13. I cannot express enough how thankful I am for this !! Thanks so much !!
  14. I won't take this any further than this. Hope you like it anyways.... Stephen Rea
  15. I could record it, The fifth time I pick a color (skintone) I get this weird greenish-blue color. I had to try quite a few times to replicate it, but once it begins, it comes more often. Link to screen recording: http://screencast.com/t/CyjtthhesB3z Hope this helps.
  16. No, I just pick colors from one picture to another. That's all....
  17. As much as I love painting with this game changing app, I will have to let it go. I keep coming back to it, because it feels so good to work with. But that bug with the Colorpicker , giving me false information, is ruing it for me. I will try again when this is behind us. It frustrates me too much. Sorry to be such a spoil... :(
  18. Had lots of fun on this. The app behaved as expected, no hassles. (except for the one mentioned before, about the color picker) And most importantly, no memory problems. Thanks, and congratulations to the develloppers for a fantastic piece of software.
  19. The new beta seems to be holding up very nice on this painting. No memory issues no nothing ! this is a painting tool I will be using a lot from now on ! Now comes the hardest part,........details and hair !
  20. In my opinion the colorpicker-bug is worse than before. When I pick colors in a neutral tone, I get a lot of times the same blue/grey color. like in the picture. Even a skintone in the shade can have this color..... I hope this gets fixed soon.
  21. Here's what I'm testing now.... Delicate skin, and bigger filesize. (4700 X 5400 at 300DPI )
  22. Well, the only downside I encountered (to me) was this: I work in separated windows mode to have the painting alongside the reference picture. When starting out, I pick the colors from the reference, and when I do so, the color appears active in the reference window, but when I switch to the painting window, the color stays the same as before. I know, I have to drag the picker from my painting to the reference, but it is a hassle. The picker also got it wrong quite a few times, and when that happens, always a light blueish dark color. (see photo, the pick was an orange - pinkish color....)) Conclusion :Maybe if I pick a color from anywhere, the color changes in the desired color on any open document. That would be a great plus. Thanks for the nice comments @Retrograde: I uninstalled ArtRage. I never liked it after version 3,5.
  23. Here's another one I made. This time with imported (free) brushes from this location. After some fiddling with it, I was going great... Hope you like it, friends.
  24. Trying my hand (only now first chance, time eh...) on the latest Beta. it seems to behave well. I do had occasions that after painting for something like an hour or more, the memory starts to drain to the point where my iMac gets almost on his knees. But restoring memory helps everything back on track, and I'm off for a while. If things get worse, I stop the app, en restart after a while. Undo's limited to 100. Chances are, I'll finish this one...... After all this man has finished his job too Brushes are the same as the previous painting
