From the video, the similar effect seems to be possible with the symbol feature: First draw the graphic in a symbol, and then skew it. What are the advantages of this new feature of 1.7 compared to the symbol approach? Is there any feature not shown in the video?

Symbol is not safe to use, ' Embedded Document ' is indeed the current workaround. The issue was mentioned a long time ago in the forum, but the development team doesn't seem to have officially acknowledged it. I have given up using symbol. Symbol is a major feature of affinity designer, which initially attracted me to start using Affinity Designer. I later found that symbol was very disappointed to be able to use, but the other aspects of affinity Designer were good enough to make me stay in Affinity Designer.

Thank you for reminding the hotkey. It is really efficient. However, using a hotkey does not mean that we want to discard the button. Since the stroke icon is made into a button, why not make it better? From the perspective of the user experience, a solid button is definitely easier to click than a hollow button.

I can only find the transparency settings, I can't find the same disabled stroke options as the desktop version.

Now, in Jan. 12 2018, I'm still annoyed by the pixel gap, hoping it can be wiped out. I did a test to compare AD and AI . I drawed two shapes that fit together in AI. No gap was produced. Then I created two same shapes in AD, the gap showed up. AI does well dealing with the gap. Can we draw on its solution?

PS, Sketch and Procreate use HSB. Providing HSB will give Affinity users consistent experience. So, Please add HSB to color chooser.

↑ Switching by clicking, Color Chooser Panel update immediately. This works as expected. ↑ Switching by shortcut x, Color Chooser Panel doesn't upadte. I think it should be upadted as clicking does. (It's the Gif recorder program's problem that in the first GIF the main color area doesn't change, but you can see the hue bar that are changing.) Please make the outline icon solid (clickable) though it is hollow visually. Because the unclickable center does nothing to aid in selecting the ouline by mouse click. It only poroduces missing clicks.

I haven't found certain action that unlinks attributes of the symbols. But I'm certain it happen occasional since day 1 of my AD experience. On the other hand, sometimes I unlink attributes deliberately and later I want the link back. How can I do it? I think relinking will be welcomed by many users.

Randomly, symbol unlink attributes for me automately. To relink them, I have to delete them all and redo everything again. This is absolutely not cool. What I do is avoid using them from the beginning. I believe this is a major bug that can't be fixed in the near future. Since this bug exist since the symbol is born, I eventually believe it is incurable, because it is a part of the symbol. So I think poviding a method which can restore/relink the attributes of symbols will solve the problem without fixing the bug.

when will 1.6 official version come?

I've been having this problem for a longtime, which makes constraint useless at all. Constraint is a great feature to AD, so please fix it as soon as possible since you've logged it last year.

Verysame, Dominik, Sima, Velarde, thank you very much for your attention and help. The videos you've provided is very helpful. Especially, as Velarde said, the video Sima refered is very close to what I want.

Sometimes I need grid system with gutters on the very left and the very right columns. So if I can move the grids a gutter's width toward the right and reset the artboard sizes, I get what I want.
