  1. A very kind endorsement! Gratzie Maestro!
  2. This is to illustrate the benefit of not passing up a shot because of clutter. Every time I do heavy PP, the software will teach me something new. I just love this stuff! I did it in the beta version of Affinity Photo and find the unique "Inpainting brush" to be a wonderful tool for this kind of editing.
  3. Hello Kodiak fellow Canadian. Most appropriate are your images of a North American bird, lovely, all of your photos of these amazingly attractive waterfowl. A Canadian friend of mine put me on to Capture One, I started with v7 and now on v9.3. It has made a world of difference to my image results. I am now doing my pixel pushing in AP. I look forward to seeing Affinity products outperform the competition as their business culture is so good. I digress, back to your amazing work and Affinity Photo. Are you able or willing to offer a video tutorial of your workflow? I would be most interested in viewing your process, assuming you can teach an old dog new tricks.
  4. Thanks for your response SrPx. I suspected it would be easier in PS, I did it in CS6. I was sure it could be done as a vector but suspected it would take a lot more effort. So that leaves me with the impression that it can't be handled by AP. I hope this kind of work will soon become doable in AP. I have high hopes for Affinity and its products.
  5. Please, is there a kind soul who can replicate this coin I did in CS6 as a vector file in AD or a Pixel design in AP? I would like to transfer all my workflow to Affinity and would like to know if this design can be don in Affnity? Better yet can it be improved on over CS6?
  6. Very well deserved, I'm convinced of your continuing success, as long as you don't do an Adobe crappy cloud!
  7. You excel at this Kodiak, You work is most inspirational.
  8. Yes the swan is exceptional. You are a swimmer beyond the shallows, you explore where others dare not go (look at me, you've turned me all poetic like). Great work throughout this set. You capture the light so well as a result of understanding it more than most of us. Bring us more maestro!
  9. I'm so glad to see such a good pano in this forum. That said I would raise the EV or brightness a bit, for me it is a little dark. Please post more work like this.
  10. The light in these images is magical. I have quickly become an admirer of your work Kodiak. The light plays a higher role in your work and you achieve the best possible results. I am a confirmed fan!
  11. These are very engaging photos especially appreciated by this retired horse breeder. Beside the technical skill, you have captured the interplay so well it makes me suspect that you have done a lot of horse photography. This set is so well done, I think I can smell them.
  12. I presume, Aeros4, that you have experience in wildlife photography with such a comment! Yes Kodiak, but my first love is representational painting of animal and human subjects. Increasing my skills in photography, also helped me better understand the dynamics of light, (this is what I see in your work, like Mathis, you paint the light) so it was a symbiotic path forward, I am very excited with the release of the Windows version of AP. I especially like the inpainting feature. This is a major event, a company like Serif has long been needed to provide healthy competition and has changed the landscape for everyone in photography and all forms of image making. I wish them all the success their business model deserves. I look forward to seeing more of your very inspiring work. Bon chance Monsieur. Flickr......https://www.flickr.com/photos/aeros4/sets
  13. OK time for an other effort at posting the image. Crapped out again! Back to the photo upload drawing board.
  14. The Lighting and detail here is exceptional. Inspiring work so different from a lot of birding shots.
  15. Hi Hubas, I'm a new member but just like Kodiak, I use Capture One for my RAW editing Then AP for Inpainting and other adjustments. I worked on you CR2 file but had a problem triying to upload a file of 15 megs. It may be that it has to be moderator approved. I will get it posted for you ASAP.
