  1. I am a UI / UX designer so I find myself drawing icons of all kinds and sizes all the time so I gotta say - the custom shapes, pixel snapping feature + multiple views is simply a dream workflow! Yeah the app crashes here and there but hey - it's always like that with betas. I'm not even remotely frustrated with it.

I am looking forward for the corner rounding feature showcased in Affinity Review. Any chance this is coming to the beta channel any time soon? I'm have to start drawing a new icon-set and I really want to start this with Affinity Designer.

    Hi there!!!

I'm a UI developer too and I hope to se your Work asap! Good luck mate!

  2. Hey Matt, I've been hacking my copy of AD Beta with my own custom icons, and my process has been to quit the app before opening it up and replacing the icon.png files. I restart ADB with no problems for the most part. There is one icon (rotate anti clockwise) that is not rendering properly, this is what it looks like:

    Very nice work man!!!

After all is it possible to test #CCC instead of #FFF?

  3. Photo can have mono icons if you want - there is an option in preferences for that (not certain the Colour -> B/W mapping it uses it quite there yet though)..

    Andy.

Please consider to put this option on AffinityDesigner too, my eyes are burning with colored icons (directly from '90) and there are a pain for the attention too.

  4. We've been discussing this.  I had also been considering it earlier.  As stupid as it sounds - we have the two shapes, rounded and regular, as (some) people expect it.  Arguably, the two tools could still create a rectangle shape that has the ability to be rounded or not - the respective tool just creates a shape with the appropriate initial settings.

Maybe developer but not designers.

for this point I still prefer how Ai use rectangle shapes

  5. Hello,

  6. I am working a scale where I need to use a font size less than 8pt. I resized the font down to 4.2pt hoping I could set a 'Style' under 'Format' but when I then type in some new text it defaults to 8pt. Is this correct? It would be a very useful feature to be able to set a smaller point size 'Style'.

I admit that we can't go lower than 8pt, but I think, and I am an user not a developer, that's because less than 8 would be unreadable?
