Nice one @Ash. Exciting times. I love the idea that Affinity is probably going to be used in schools now. Onwards and upwards.

Designer 2.2 Backspace / Delete does not work
clamnuts replied to artnok's topic in V2 Bugs found on macOS
Yep. A fix: Settings/Shortcuts/Serif Defaults -
MacOS Monterey, Open GL, Metal enabled: The colour wheel frequently appears as the attached when I use Publisher on a Huion Kamvas. Dragging it on to the main screen and back to the second screen fixes it. Cheers

Word count in Affinity Publisher
clamnuts replied to vdamjanovski's topic in Feedback for Affinity Publisher V1 on Desktop
Upvote on Word Count! The more I depend on AP, the more I need word count. A handy additional feature would be to see a target word count per spread/page and a notification appears if you overshoot it. It would help readability. Happy New Year lads -
Send Spread to End or Last Page
clamnuts replied to clamnuts's topic in Feedback for Affinity Publisher V1 on Desktop
Yeah but for example, try drag pages 55-56 to 222-224 or drag all of your roughs out of the main flow by putting at the end of the doc. It gets very hard manage. -
Hello all, I've been working on a 280 page AP doc over the past few months. Managing Sections and reordering Spreads really could be improved. My suggestion is to add a 'Send to End of Section' command on right click. This would move the selected Spreads to the end of the current section. A 'send to end of document/last page' would be amazingly useful too. Cheers!

Affinity Designer Customer Beta (1.9.0.7)
clamnuts replied to MattP's topic in [ARCHIVE] Designer beta on macOS threads
This is brilliant. Thanks so much Matt. For Select Same, would adding 'selecting by layer colour tag' work? This would be a great way to export sets of slices without all of the unchecking and rechecking what is being exported. -
Hello all, loving the latest AD Beta, the Contour tool is amazing. One key feature still missing is the ability to select all Layers and then Rasterise all. Currently it only rasterises one layer. I know the Export Persona sounds like a logical workflow for getting everything output as flat layers but this is not always ideal. Cheers

Hi all, Publisher has always been a little unstable in my opinion but while working in it every day for a week now I have experienced 25 to 30 crashes. It happens on every type of action, text editing, image editing, when the app is idle...everything. Can we paste/upload crash reports directly here? I reinstalled, switched back to OpenGL from Metal and I appear to have less crashes but I can't confirm that yet. Is there any recommended Preference change that I can make? Cheers

Publisher unusable (crashes) on MacOS High Sierra
clamnuts replied to c0rky's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
Same here, very unstable. Even when all other apps are closed. -
Hello all, I cant replicate it consistently but every stroke is changing and most elements are resizing. For example: a 100px x 100px circle with a 25pt stroke is copied and pasted into an existing doc and it becomes 26.5pt x 26.5pt with 104.2pt stroke. It also complicates making a new doc from clipboard as the sizes are off. Related to this

Euroscale Coated v2 Missing as a Colour Format
clamnuts replied to Hangman's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
This has tripped me up big time today! A workaround to reveal ISO Coated V2 etc in AP: create it in AD then paste an element into the AP doc and the profile while appear when exporting. -
what happens with linked documents when modified via StudioLink?
clamnuts replied to woefi's topic in V1 Bugs found on macOS
For big issues like this you could add a tooltip or modal to explain that it is a known issue or coming feature.- 14 replies

Hello, Thank you for the update, love it. The first thing which I tried in 1.7 was moving Artboards with ´by whole numbers´ and snapping on to see if the 1px creep issue has been resolved. If for example your board is 1080 x 1920 px and you duplicate it then the next one is 1081 x 1920 px. Any workarounds or solutions? Maybe setting up your Artboards in Publisher is the way to go? This issue is one of the reasons I can´t 100% use AD for production work. Anyway, cheers for 1.7!

Affinity Designer Customer Beta (1.7.0.11)
clamnuts replied to MattP's topic in [ARCHIVE] Designer beta on macOS threads
Thanks for this! The new node transformation tools are amazing. -
Hello all, This affects the current public versions too. Maybe also related to your new XY Artboard method> Even with Move by Whole Numbers checked and fiddling with the settings, duplicated Artboards appear to be at whole number W and H but on Export, we see that they have grown 1px. For big projects I'm still having to create my Artboards in Illustrator and import them in to ensure my boards are correct.
