  1. Sounds like a canvas size adjustment. 1. Use menu: Document > Resize Canvas... 2. Change units to inches, unlock the dimensions (click the lock between width and height) and add 3 (inches) to both width and height numbers. 3. Select the center anchor point. Click Resize. The result will be a 1.5 inch transparent border. Leave as is or fill with color of your choice. Hope that helps.
  2. It is not apparent there is a forum support topic. I tried to search for the word "border", but it is a blocked. Is there a list of common words forum users should not bother searching for?
  3. I am having trouble as well, could you share your method? Just starting with AP and am used to PS stroke / outline method as well. So far with a new blank image, I select the Rectangular Marquee Tool and drag a rectangle / square selection. Then from the "Select" menu, I choose "Outline". An Outline Selection window appears and I can use a slider or enter the pixel width as well as outside, center or inside. After clicking apply, a "walking ants" double border selection appears. So far so good (I think), except under the "Edit" menu, "Fill..." is greyed out, can't select it. The Flood Fill Bucket has no effect either, except under the "Edit" menu I can undo fill flood (nothing changed, so not sure why). If anyone can give guidance on an easy way to create a simple border, or explain why fill flood does not work in the example steps above, it would be helpful. Edit: The steps I gave above do work if I open a file (jpeg, png, tiff), it does not work on a new blank canvas, which could be a bug.
