  1. Despite pivot point when scaling (great improvement), I prefer stay with AD 1.5.5 in production. Previous updates worked well but this one seems less solid. One specific demand about ring tool : inner circle is in %. Can we get it in mm too ? Thanks
  2. bug Ghost parts of object when I'm moving it. mac os 10.11.5 radeon 7950 bug AD.mov
  3. A very good thing about workflow : In AD 1.5, you select several objects. You want to add fx. You click fx. All objects are deselected but one. You must reselect objects. How many times I've done this ! In AD 1.6, selection objects stay safe.
  4. When you have a selection (little dash line) cmd + D is evident (like Photoshop). It's a pixel work. By reflex, I use it. But cmd + D for deselecting objects, never thought because it's a vector work. So you have the same shortcut for pixel selections and objects. I must register that in my brain.
  5. About shortcuts, I prefer D for Duplicate instead J. Why J for duplicate ? J for Join ok but for Duplicate ?!?! Lock > cmd + L Unlock > cmd + shift + L Select all > cmd + A Deselect > cmd + D Where is the logic ? My brain is brainwashed by AI since 1993…
  6. It's very strange because Shift+X is assigned in preferences shortcuts but doesn't work. French or english interface, it's the same. Alt+X works.
  7. Add a "Reset" button for center of rotation. Often I'm looking for it for a while, lost and hidden in a jungle of paths.
  8. Add a "Deselect all" function. We need to click on an empty space. Not user friendly.
  9. Need an offset function. It's a very basic function. I don't understand why you don't add it. I know we can vectorize outline but we need after that delete one of the two paths. Very boring. Another bad point : AD generates too many points. AI is still my best friend for this…
  10. Scale/shear can now be performed about rotation centre Good ! I'm waiting the same with symmetry.
  11. Each time I see FH in action, I can say it's really better than AI. As Rui mac, I've tested a lot of softwares for replacing AI and AD is the best. Expression 3 was also a great software with unique tools, brushes in particular with so many options. But the interface was too old school.
  12. Ok, blend tool. My interface is in french, I don't exactly the name of the tools in english. It will be so powerful if we could have a cinema4d duplicate tool like mograph. The duplicate tool of moi3d is very good too and more easiest to use but is no interactive.
  13. Gradient with shapes : Click point 1 for shape A Click point 1 for shape B You get a dialog box, you can choose distance or steps. After that, if you want more or less steps, click on the tool, you get again the dialog box and you can adjust number of steps. A must have for me. I use it a lot in horology (guilloché).
  14. I really don't need exotic tools like animation. Today, I always need Illustrator for many tasks because these tools don't exist yet in AD. New tools : - gradient with shapes - deformers - simplify curves - offset curves Some tools/functions must be improved : - point center : add it for symmetry and scale - add a button Reset for point center. Often, I'm looking for it. - magnetism : sometimes yes, sometimes no. Why all curves/shapes are not magnetics ? It's make me crazy. - add arrows like AI : all cotations for my drawings are still done in AI. - reshape a part of a curve with rotate or scale is almost impossible : Draw a cat (AD love cats !). Oh oh, the head is too small. Ok, select points of the head and…, and there is no bounding box or interactive scale tool for this. You must type values in the Transform menu. Not user friendly. Oh, can you rotate a little the head of the cat ? OK, select points and…, and we can't do that ! It's impossible. Rotation is greyed. It's a nightmare. Keep cool man, you can do that in Illustrator in few clicks. My AI CS5 is still the best friend of AD for this specific tasks. After saying that, I must confess : Using AD is so good in another ways, I don't want to return with Adobe.
  15. Of course Snapshot ! We absolutely must be aware when we use it. A lot of work can be lost when you restore a snapshot (we can do a lot of cmd Z but it's boring). Maybe a pop-up "Do you want to register a new snapshot before restoring snapshot-01 ?" could be prevent it.
  16. Take system is a really great feature. I've some proposals : - arrange the order of takes - when we select all takes, view number of takes - script : export all takes in chosen format with his name - rename takes - double click on one take for restoring the take PS : in french this function is called "instantané" but I'm not sure if we can traduce it by "Take" (I don't want to quit AD et relaunch with an english interface…). Cinema4D 17 has a similar function called… Take.
  17. +1 One of my favorite command in photoshop
  18. One thing about corner : - draw a shape - make a corner - resize the shape The corner doesn't resize, you must convert in curve before if you want to maintain proportions and you lose the benefit of editable corners.
  19. I work in production with guys who have Illustrator. Designs are done with Affinity but in production, they only need paths without fx. I must select each path and delete fx, it's a big waste of time. A command "Delete all fx" will be great or when exporting in eps format, add an option "Delete all fx".
  20. I need a "Register a copy" command. Often, I'm working on a file-01. Well, my client want some changes. Ok, I'm doing changes and I'm registering my file. Damned ! I've forgotten to register a file-02 before working… With Illustrator, I can register a copy file-02 and do a lot of Undo to recover my file-01 before changes. It's impossible with AD.
