    Hello,
Can't understand why I have "steps" on my lines, when I draw with Paint Brush Tool on the Wacom tablet with simple brush settings. Details in attachement.

Hi I'm Bob.  I'm excited about a possible alternative to AI and have purchased AD.  I run a small company with 20+ employees and (while I'm sure you've heard this many times) many, many people were upset when Adobe killed Macromedia Freehand.  if you're software had the capabilities (and intuitiveness) of Freehand I'd buy it for my entire staff tomorrow and feel many others would as well.  I've only played around with it a little, but if I were to require my staff to use AD today, we'd take a huge productivity cut.  Please keep developing.  A knife tool (unless I'm missing something) would be great.  if the pen tool worked a little more like FH, would be great.  A blend tool similar to FH would be great as well.  Other FH tools I miss (in AI, but easier in FH):  inset path, expand stroke, punch tool, expand stroke.  Our work is primarily vector based technical illustrations and speed is crucial.  we don't go back and forth, playing with lines often or "designing".  Freehand was great and so much faster/intuitive/easier than AI.  if you really want to slay AI, IMO it needs to be as simple and as intuitive as Freehand.   Please keep up the good work and I will spend more time familiarizing myself with your program and watching for updates in hopes that someday soon, I can commit fully to Affinity Designer as our go to program!

    respectfully,
    -Bob

I've gotta say I bought Paolo Limoncelli's DAUB brushes, and they were worth it. Love them to bits, love AP too, though it still feels sluggish with large images on a 16 GB Macbook pro, which isn't that awesome. But nevertheless, pretty cool !
Somehow though I feel as if AD's pixel persona is better at digital painting than AP's. Probably because AP has no eyedropper tool. Also, the alt-click colorpicker doesn't feel great at all... needs some polishing.

Anyways, bickering aside, here's what I managed to create. :) It's not really great, but I did learn some stuff doing it, since I didn't skip the initial "construction" phase of drawing lines and marking proportions. I'm trying to learn digital paiting for some time now, and somehow I've got problems because I always end up comparing myself with people who've been at it for years. It's stupid, but It's the only way I know how to scale, and because I think it helps me get better faster. The downside is that I always feel bad about what I do.

Designer crashed after I added a large object to the Assets panel which was located on a second display.  Now Designer crashes on launch and I want to uninstall before re-installing the app.

Questions:   Can I save all my Assets before uninstalling?  Where are they stored?

I am delighted with Designer and have never had any problems with it up until now.  Urgently need to get it back up and running.

I'm on a Mac Pro with 12gigs of Ram and lots of storage space.  Sierra 10.12 - Designer 1.5.1.

    Many thanks for any suggestions.

It's a little confusing, but if you don't want the layer to nest, just nudge it a little to the left until you get a blue line under (or over) the whole layer.

I might have a play at some options when I have all three done, Ive never actually taken this style so far before, I use it for more simple client infographics that need a quick turn around. But I have an open to mind suggestions, I'm actually really enjoying not battling with perspective.
