So I rather fail to understand your comment kodiak:
Granted, I did not formulated my thoughts correctly;
English is not my language and, from French, I really
messed up the translation. Sorry for that.
To Mr. Reeder:
I would respectfully ask you to ignore me, learn to be
cool, get a life for yourself… what ever but would you
be so kind as to stay off my back! Thank you.

This rather belies the above response?
I think not!
The reason is in the name Fast Stone viewer. The same the finder
does on Mac to quickly render an unsaved preview that does not
reflect the work done on a file.
-
Affinity Photo provides no thumbnail viewing for the content of RAW images…
Of course not and that is no omission since the RAW data
can't be modified…
However, if on Mac, the finder may generate a preview.

…too happy to be scary!
Cool work Stuart! :)

In my experience, clipped highlights are lost info… no
info, I don't know how to change the colour of "nothing"!
One may paint in a transparent coloured layer maybe!

All lovely. The top two are especially beautiful. The reflections in the second one are really cool.
What a nice start to my Saturday morning. Cheers Kodiak.
This comment of yours ends my Sunday in a cheerful way. Thanks!

I hope your ankle is soon better… superb images.
Thanks Charlychuch!
Your love rival is a good looking guy…
LOOKS? Nah, how can anyone want to compete with that punk!
…a couple more days and I'll get over both: my ankle and illusions. ;)

Gorgeous on all levels. I'm very happy for your good fortune.
Thanks buddy!
Good fortune = broken heart! ;)

CONTINUED…
I had a big surprise as I arrived at the marsh:
I was, of course, looking for my baby and, as she has a quite
discrete plumage that doesn't make it easy to spot her quickly,
my eye was caught by this flamboyant individual. I knew right
then that my goose was cooked. He was something to see and, as usual, she just ignored me!
This being the first time I had a chance to see in person and to
photograph a Mandarin drake in all it glory… as he put a definite
end to my platonic illusions.

…a great couple that is!
3
No, oh no… she's doing it in front of my eyes… and lens!
She is seducing him…
4
Lucky guys!
5
Doesn't she look happy?
6
I hate him already… sniff!
As always:
Have a look, have a good time
C&C welcomed!

Introduction.
Since some 10 days, I'm going around (not fast nor far!) with
a set of crutches after a severe fall in an icy outdoor stairway
that twisted my left ankle. —"That 's a good one"… said the
surgeon, "No need to operate though that will nail or slow you
down for some time, I'm afraid!"
Yesterday, I couldn't stand it anymore. I asked a friend to
help me put the wildlife gear in the car and drive me to
the marsh for a couple of hours.
Do you remember this girl (young female Mandarin duck) who grabbed
my heart in the middle of December?
Though I was hooked in a rather platonic affair, she broke my heart… but
I'm happy for her… I had the feeling that this romance had no future.
Followed in the next post…

Sad the penguins are melting.

Saubere Arbeit durch und durch!
Simple, very clean and clear…
weiter machen! ;)

I need to spend more time working on comps like this...
To my greatest pleasure!
Very convincing. both the composition
and the rendition! Keep rocking!

…in this price range, i can say that Affinity photo is unbeatable!
Very cool… colours, tonalities… brilliant!
If I may, I see two light sources in this scene… really?
The projection of the reflection of NATURE in the water
is not justified by the perspective nor the water.
…but these are the view of a photographer and may
be totally irrelevant!

Bonsoir sweetspot95,
Intéressant, "sweetspot" comme pseudo, pour quelqu'un qui déplore la disparition de la langue française! :)

Pas du tout Français mais farouchement francophone…
une langue ne meure pas si on la laisse pas. Les Québécois le savent!

Did I understand you right murphy?

Sorry Rossrob14, this is not an edit in my book but a
full blown composition… and a tasteful one at that!
Very, very cooooool! ;)

I take a photo in a close ambient with only yellow warm light of the internal lamps.
Photo is good but it has a dominance of yellow.
That's quite normal but you should not worry about that;
as WB is the lesser evil in the recorded data.
Maybe you could set the WB on AUTO in the camera.
Tried to fix it with "white balance" and colors become regular.
But, I like most the photo how it was before, it is warmer and representative of the moment.
I wonder : is it an error maintain the photo like was in original ?
Like many other parameters, WB is subject to your artistic
intent. So the rule in such cases is: if you made an educated
decision and it pleases you, then it goes!

did I miss something? Last time I checked the develop persona was destructive
Now that you ring the bell, maybe I should ask myself the question.
I understood that all tweaks were recorded in the Afphoto files that
ends up being ginormous BTW.
I just watch this video but it doesn't clearly answer the point…
So I have to admit that my "presumption" was wrong. Personally, when I
learned that it could develop only one file at the time, I knew that I would
not use the persona. My actual workflow is RAW conversion and publish-
ing in Capture One Pro, and pixel edition only in AP when needed.
Sorry I created false hopes! :)

If one has a single RAW file/ project, Affinity Photo
already has the Develop Persona to handle RAW files.
It features not destructive record of all tweaks done
on the RAW and, upon saving, may be worked in the
Photo Persona.
Colours in Document

I would like to have only the colours I use in the
actual document to show in the swatch tool.
This is so non intuitive!
