Hi @Mark Langford and Welcome to the Forums, Do you still have FUTURA installed? Which PDF Preset and Compatibility setting are you using when exporting to PDF from Affinity? By default, the Preflight checker for a placed Passthrough PDF, is looking for issues when exporting to PDF/X1-a:2003, so if you aren't exporting to that format of PDF, then you might not even need to do the Fix part of it. To Edit the Preflight Profile see here and you can change the Passthrough setting from PDF/X1-a:2003 to the correct compatibility setting you are exporting to.

Hi @lpmand Welcome to the Forums, We do already have some SVG files logged with the Developers where text is appearing in the wrong location. Could you attach your SVG file and i can get it added to the log with the Developers

Hi @Jurgen van Leyen, Affinity doesn't do anything special when it comes to scanning and just hooks into the scan service provided by MacOS and the settings you get to configure are directly from the scanner drivers. In this case, i would suggest doing the scanning with the software provided by Epson and opening the scan afterwards in Affinity for editing.

Hi @WinnerB, Further to the questions asked by @Alfred, the Affinity applications aren't able to directly cause a blue screen error - however it's certainly possible the app is using hardware/software that other apps aren't using, which triggers the issue. As you mention a bluescreen, I take it you are running Affinity on Windows? If thats the case, I'd start by doing a clean install of your graphics card drivers, making sure you are re-installing the latest ones and then try using Affinity again.

Hi @Rob Chisholm, If I'm understanding this correctly, you want to export your drawing to PNG files for each layer in the drawing, rather than getting 1 PNG with all layers in? If so, you could use the Export Persona to create a slice for each layer and export those to PNG and then import them into the other apps. More on the Export Persona here.

Danke für die Datei. Sie stürzt nicht ab, wenn ich sie auf meinem Mac mit der Voreinstellung "PDF für den Druck" exportiere. Aber auf meinem Windows-PC dauert der Export sehr lange, viel länger als ich erwartet hätte. Bis jetzt ist es noch nicht abgestürzt, also werde ich es exportieren lassen und sehen, was passiert. Ich werde dies sowieso mit den Entwicklern protokollieren, da die Geschwindigkeit des Exports zwischen Mac und Windows unterschiedlich ist. --- Thanks for the file. It doesn't crash when i'm exporting it on my Mac to the PDF For Print preset. However on my Windows PC, its taking a very long time to export, much longer than i'd expect. Hasn't crashed yet, so i'll leave it exporting and see what happens. I'll be logging this with the Developers anyway due to the speed difference of exporting this between Mac and Windows.

Hi @dobber1, Thanks for the log file. The log doesn't really state why its failing from what i can see. The last page that was bing processed looks like it was Page 23. If you delete Page 23, does the export get any further? Would you be able to upload a package of your file to our Dropbox here: https://www.dropbox.com/request/YaUGkRw2r6PUHtLXU7tf to create the package, first create an Empty folder on your desktop, then in Publisher with your file open, click File>Save As Package and on the next screen make sure sure all images are included and fonts, then click OK and select the folder on your desktop and click on save. Once thats finished, zip up that folder and upload it to the link above and i'll see if i can track the problem down and get something logged with the Developers? ---- Danke für die Protokolldatei. Hi @Kim S, I agree with @Old Bruceand if you open your afpub file in Affinity and click File>Document Setup>Colour and change this from RGB to CMYK, you'll see the colour shift on screen. What I do find odd, your PDF Export window shows no Colour Space, i'd normally expect that to be set 'As Document' but in your screenshot, that section is blank and from my understanding shouldn't be with Compatibility set to PDF/X4, that isn't something I've been able to replicate with your file.

Hi @Jurgen van Leyen, You can type 1200 into the DPI box and it will be scanned at 1200 DPI, if your scanner supports this. Which make and model scanner are you using?

Hi @toddabareand Welcome to the Forums, Your crash reports all point to a crash with libraster.dll which is mainly used when rendering things on the canvas. What graphics card do you have? It would be worth doing a clean install of your graphics card drivers using the DDU app which will allow you to perform a clean install on them and then see if you have the same trouble with Affinity. @HofnaarYour issue sounds a bit different from @toddabare, are you just getting a freeze for a few seconds and then Designer comes back? Or does the app completely freeze and you need to use Task Manager to shut Affinity down?

I'm not aware of this exact issue, do you happen to have a link to a thread where this has been discussed and i can check if the issue is still open or not? This is something that is already logged with the Developers. There can be more than 1 cause for this delay, it can relate to document dimensions, the larger the document on the homescreen, the longer the delay is. The other cause is when Designer gets stuck in the background generating brushes after exiting the file. I've just given that report a nudge and also left a link on the report back to this thread, so you'll get a notification when it has been resolved

Hi @jvns555and Welcome to the Forums, This is a known issue and is logged with the Developers. The only workaround would be to use the on-screen keyboard when you need to use an underscore or plus. I'll leave a link on the report and this thread will get a notification when it's been resolved from the Serif Info Bot. I've not had this happen yet, but i'll keep trying.

Hi @Currycat, I've had the QA Team go over this and they have asked me to log this issue with the Developers. We can't see why some curves would be different to others. QA did mention that with the 2.4 beta, we now have DXF export and exporting your file to DXF doesn't show the same issue, so exporting to DXF maybe a better fit for your workflow until we find out what's happening with the PDF export.

Hi @Amit M, The reset that @NotMyFaultmentions should get you the default category back, as would importing his aftonemap file. To do a Reset, just start Affinity while holding down the Control key and you'll get a shown a Clear User Data window. 3 options will be ticked and you can untick those and then put a tick in the box for Reset Tone Mapping Presets and then click on Clear. That should bring back the Default category. Just make sure you've exported any of your own Tone Map Presets you've created, as the Reset would delete those.

Hi @Mainecoon364, I've just printed your afdesign file directly from Affinity V1 to our Canon printer here in the office, printing at 50% opacity and then at 100% opacity so I can compare the 2 printouts and this is working fine, the 50% printout is much lighter than the 100% one.

Hi @MaxResolutionand Welcome to the Forums, The expected outcome is 1 stacked image from both sets of data. So for example, if you had 4 sets of data, Red, Green, Blue and Lumance, you'd create a File Group for each set of data, add the frames and then stack, the result would be 1 stacked image with multiple layers, 1 layer for each set of data.

Hi @ashr, There isn't a way to do this currently as there is no Info Panel in the iPad build of Affinity Designer or Affinity Photo, which you could use to find this out. This has been requested several times to be added to the iPad build of Affinity. The Desktop version of Affinity Photo does have an Info Panel, which you could use to find out the values.

Hi @photojohnand Welcome to the Forums, There was a bug where creating a Preset didn't create the Preset but this was resolved in the 2.3 update, so please make sure you are using Affinity Photo 2.3.1 and when you create a Preset, it can be found on the Adjustments Panel (Window>Adjustments) and if you select Black and White there, you should see your preset.

Hi @skyking, It's possible this could be the issue that @Ouftihas linked to. That would normally happen when working with RAW files and you'd also see the extra pixels on screen. Would you be able to upload your afphoto or afpub file that you are printing to our Dropbox here and i'll try printing it from one of our Laser printers? As another test, if you export out of Affinity as a PDF and print from your PDF reader, do it print correctly?

Hi @MikeTOand @Hangman, I've logged the crash when replacing the DOCX file in @Blue Iguanaafpub file with the Developers. For some reason, it works fine when placing it into a New Document. AF-1288 and AF-1342 are still with the Developers to resolve, I've left a link on that report back to this thread so you'll all get a notification from the Serif Info Bot when this has been resolved
