There was a suggestion of the Affinity Facebook page that I might make a tutorial on my 'Steam radio' AD job (see the link below). I thought about it and decided ... not to. But here are a couple of the things in afdesign format for you to look at. I'm sure you can work out how everything was done, and you can always ask if there's something not self-explanatory. I do need to add a brief explanation for this one ... The stationary flywheel spokes ('spokes (Curves)' layer) is turned off. I made the 'motion blur (Pixel)' layer by going to File/Edit in Photo, then rasterizing the layer and applying a radial blur. I did something similar with the connecting rod.

About the export issue, I would recommend using the export persona. (Transparency is on by default).

Exactly, the wonderful wood-grain effect has some surprising ageing properties.

What age marks? Are you referring to the wonderful wood-grain effect, or is there something I’ve overlooked??

Here's a little composition I did yesterday, trying to familiarize myself with Affinity Photo. I didn't have any specific vision, so everything was thought up on the spot. It all started with this picture.
 
 

 
Then, using different elements of like 9-10 other images, came the final result

Animated in After Effects admittedly, but all the artwork was created in Affinity Designer. It's all possible, you just need to think about the workflow a little bit.

Just a few bits from the NLC Rockin for the Children Festival 2018  -  all vector
 
Noize Level Critical hold a Festival each year now named "ROCKIN FOR THE CHILDREN" and 100% of the proceeds go to charity. In 2018 we are funding some awesome charities including "NLC for Autistic Children" and " Rock Against child Pornography and Abuse UK" . The Festival is family run and will be held in Nottingham on May Bank Holiday Weekend 5th and 6th May at The Maze. Steam Kitten artwork in the wild

Hi, 
To promote our honeycomb panel : Beelite. I develop a candy dispenser with two different thickness 10 and 16mm. 
I used affinity Photo iPad for the basic sketch and develop the mechanism (basic). 

 
And the rest was made with Affinity designer Die and print.

I have to use ArtiosCad (no for the design) to make it produceable on a plotter and make a 3D Previz. All pieces have to stitch each other (especially for the V-Notch 45°). 


Final product :150x150x150mm.

Hope you are having a great weekend. Wanted to share with you this illustration I made today: it's a "Cosmic Entity", in the style of some you can find in Marvel's and DC's comics. It was made entirely in Affinity Photo, using the default brushes plus some made by @Frankentoon.
