I have released a Boostrap 4 Grid Template for Affinity Designer. It includes columns, gutters as well as guides and some more stuff. This should hopefully help when setting up a new Bootstrap 4 project in Designer.

Okay I've figured it out. "Embed ICC profile" needs to be OFF in the export settings.

You will get this hairline in any vector program to a greater or lesser extent whenever two edges are exactly the same value... It's a side-effect of the way the rasterisation routine works... There are ways to reduce the effect, but to solve it completely really needs a different approach to the rasterisation (that nobody uses because it provides worse results in other cases). The effects will change based on the exact zoom level and position of the objects on a sub-pixel, but they will always be there. The easiest way to get rid of these is simply to extend objects to overlap in ways that don't matter, and to overlap and 'Add' objects of the same colour to form one object from two that used to butt up to each other. You could also try using the advanced blending options (the cog on the Layers panel) with your objects selected and adjust the antialiasing ramp to include more of the pixels.
 
We will continue to try to improve this over time, but it is an inherent problem with any vector drawing program (although some do deliberately distort the values you asked for in order to reduce the appearance of this effect, so they seem to be working better - although you can make them fail if you know how...)

Since the Discord is getting really popular among gamers replacing the Skype, TeamSpeak etc. I think it's a great platform for a software talk as well. There's already servers for other softwares, so this isn't the first one. So I created Discord server for "Affinity products" where users can discuss, ask for help, show their work and request feedback.

According to this video, holding down Ctrl when drawing a box with the move tool should change the selection behavior.
 

 
With Ctrl pressed, any object touching the marked area should be selected, however this does not work on Windows. Objects still need to be fully within the area to be selected, even though I'm holding down Ctrl.
 
I've tried Shift and Alt, but no modifier key seems to have this effect.

PS: Your program is totally awesome nonetheless. It's just a joy to learn about the features and how simple and well thought out things are. :wub:

This is the cause of the slow down I'm experiencing. When I turn the panel off, I can type text without lagging as I would expect. I guess it is also the cause of the other performance issues I've mentioned in my original post.

Build 27 (RC3) doesn't have the fix in, the fix is in 28 (RC4), which isn't released yet.
 
Also, we found a terrible performance problem when the Effects Panel is visible. Make sure that when typing text, that panel isn't visible (ideally make sure that panel is never visible, as it slows lots of operations down). The fix for the Effects Panel won't be in build 28, but will hopefully be in build 29.

@arechsteiner - this has been marked as fixed and I've just checked it in an internal build we have and the font now displays correctly. 

I've just tried this on my laptop here, and I can confirm the slowdown. We had this exact issue a few months ago which we fixed, but I believe a more recent fix has broken it again. I'll make sure it is fixed before the final release.

Yeah, they differ. With NexusFont only Unicode is available.

It probably depends on the range of formats placed on the clipboard. The 'Paste Special' option will reveal any additional options made available by NexusFont.

You need to 'Paste Special' as Unicode Text. (The default format is RTF.)
 
That font provides a very good example of why the dropdown list of font names in AD shouldn't only display the font name using glyphs from the font. In this case, all of the glyphs are in the Private Use Area, so I just get a blank line where it should say 'Pe-icon-7-stroke' in the list.
 
By the way, if you're doing a lot of this kind of thing you might find BabelMap easier to work with than Windows' built-in Character Map.

The Up axis is for when you tick "Create plane set"... which itself becomes enabled with appropriate two axis grids (such as isometric or trimetric).  It enables you to define a third axis (which conventionally is the up axis relative to the flat plane in a parallel grid projection). It can be customised for the "Two axis custom" grid type, but will be vertical for all other predefined grid types.
 
You can cycle through three planes that are defined by your three axis by using the ' (apostrophe) key. You will need the grid visible to see this.
 
So, in the case of trimetric, you'd get the top, side and front planes.
 
Note that the Up axis is used to define complementary parallel projection planes.  This is not going to become true perspective 3D at any point.
 
The yellow warning triangles next to the angle controls show you when your axis angles are too close together to form a grid. Currently anything less than 5 degrees will stop the grid being created.
