Hi MEB, Affinity Photo is not appearing in the list of available updates. Just to confirm I am running OS X 10.11.6 and have only one account with Apple so know this is correct.

Thanks RC-R but the version that is opening on my desktop is still 1.5.2. Do I need to delete this version before trying to download the new?

Been trying to update Photo from the Mac App store but when I select it all that happens is the current version of Photo opens on my desktop. Any help/suggestions for a naive computer user would be appreciated.

When I open AP I get the blank window with all the menu headings. When I open an image all the menu headings Text through Filters disappear and the Save option in the File menu. The image I am using I exported from Photos as a RAW unmodified original to a folder on my desktop and then used the Open option in Affinity. Any guidance appreciated.

HI RC-R that is exactly right I'm not getting a Save option in the File menu. Also I don't get all the adjustment options that are shown in the tutorial but assumed this was because it was a trial. From your comments I'm beginning to think this has not downloaded properly??

I have recently downloaded Affinity Photo Trial but having difficulty with the following (apologies if I'm covering very basic ground): 1. Currently I hold all my images in Photos as RAW files and understand I cannot open these directly from Affinity but find I have to export from Photos to an an intermediate folder i.e. on Desktop - is this right? 2. I have opened an image in Affinity and have made some trial adjustments but cannot see any way of saving these? 3. Once saved do the images stay in Affinity or revert to the intermediate folder?
