[Working Between Photo and Designer]

Welcome to Affinity Forums :)

I believe you are using Affinity Photo 1.4.3 (from the Mac App Store) and Designer 1.5.1 (from the Mac App Store as well). Currently Designer 1.5 is using a more advanced version of our file format which is currently incompatible with the older format used by Affinity Photo 1.4.3. Soon there will be a new update to Affinity Photo (to version 1.4.4 or 1.5) that will allow you to exchange files between the two programs without issues since both will be using the same (more advanced) file format.

 

Thanks for the update. I just learned of this neat feature and could really use it on my current projects, but I guess I'll have to wait. Hope the update is out soon. 

[Working Between Photo and Designer]

Hi,

 

I saw a few very old posts on this subject, but nothing recent. I'm trying to edit in Designer while I'm in Photo. I can see the menu item but it is greyed out. I've tried it with the photo selected and unselected and neither activates the menu item. 

 

What do I need to do to activate the Edit in Designer menu item in Photo.
