[Huge RAW files]

I know that an uncompressed file ist big, but why do AF that ? Whats the reason ? Is that necessary ?

I got about 5000+ RAW files on my Mac. If i mutiply them x 3 … i can change my disk … just for the same pics.

If i open a RAW-File (from my Alpha 58) with AFPhoto and save it – without any changes – the size of the file is extremely large ! From 20 MB (standard-file/PSD-file) to 150 MB (after saving in AFPhoto) !

 

I open the file in Affinity Photo and press „develop“ (in German its called „entwickeln“ !) … and then i just save the file. Is there anything wrong ? I cant’t believe that the file size is the real result ?!?
