  1. Paolo, Thank you so much for you input. You touched (no pun intended) on all the things I was questioning. I trust you especially since you seem to have extensive familiarity with Adonit product line and your skilled and experiences as well. Procreate was my main tool of choice for sketching so to hear that it seems to be most optimized for the new Ipad Pro is great to hear. As with all new apple products, it is going to take a bit of time for developers to optimize their products to work with the new hardware and size format, so the reviews are going to be mostly on the negative for the most part. Most review I watched or read seemed to come from people outside the perceived target market. Many of those people would not even consider a Cintq or Cintq Companion, so many of the reviews are a mute point to me.Woh the hell gonna spent that much for a huge tablet just to watch movies. I am an early adopter on this one and I am sure the next version going to be better, but you have to jump on the boat at some point. Right? I have been toting this IPAD 2 for awhile and it still a fine product but it has its limitations I have always wanted a larger portable iPad for sketching and for photography work. I never felt any of the incarnations of the IPad was fast enough or large enough for what I want or need to do. I am really hoping in the future I'll be able to install Affinity line of ios product on my big bad Ipad Pro freeing me from my laptop and all these peripherals connected to it. I already have a great laptop so I'm not really looking for a replacement just an addition for my creative and presentation needs. I can't wait to get mine December 2nd my schedule delivery. I guess I cough up the extra 100 bucks and get the damn pencil lol. Ugh, I hate allowing apple to stick to me like this, but I guess you have to" let it happen" the more you fight the worse it feels... Thanks Paolo! -R
  2. I put my order in! I did not do the pencil yet. I want to try that before I buy it! I already have a Adonit Jot pro pen I got awhile back I never got to use cause I didn't read the fine print it only worked with newer Ipads and I had the IPAD 2 for quite some time. i could sent it back, but I knew I was going to buy this Ipad so I kept it. I 've been saving for this one.
  3. footof. I think understand what you might mean. So in my mind I thought this how the embed should work. You embed a document inside another document and let's say you are working on a large-scale project with multiple people. One aspect of your file is connected to a document that one of your team members are working on As they continue to work and update their file your file receives the update maybe in a time interval, or when you open your file or perhaps click a button to update. That way if an update is made every file that references the embedded document will be updated to reflect the change. Currently, the embed document is added to the current document and all connections to the original file is discarded. you can only update the embed file from within the file it is embedded in. It would be awesome if there was an option to select how the embedded file is referenced so you could use either one of the methods.
  4. I am curious. was this resolved? What was the solution has this been corrected in the latest public update or in the Beta?
  5. Ohh, my god! I would never say that I meant to say my ability to speak German Sucks! Uhh, I am mortified. Please, accept my apologies for my typing mistake. @justwilliams I am chewing on a bar as we speak! This stuff is nasty lol
  6. You both are very welcome! I am glad to hear your pleased with it. Cheers!
  7. Beautiful! I've alway loved the Chinese Letterform even though I can't read it I appreciate its' beauty!
  8. Thanks Retro! Haha I didn't even notice the Hooter ;) Thanks, MEB! Yeah, I Using Affinity on more stuff and as much has possible. I really don't miss that other application. I can't wait until Affinity Publisher is out so I can give that other product made by that other company the boot entirely! I working on my own suite of choice apps to replace my current tools I already have two apps to replace After Effects and Premiere too! Then I feel more in control again!
  9. Thanks, Yakk! Yup, that why I post and share some of the stuff I am doing professionally. I want to dispell any doubts for sure. This totally brilliant application and it is only gonna get better! People forget sometimes It's only Version 1.3.2 and so much can be done with it already. It is only gonna get better with time. Yes, it does feel good. It also feels great when someone assumes I did the work in Photoshop and I Explain to them that I am doing it in Affinity Designer. When they say they need a PSD I just export the file as a PSD and send it off. The only thing I wish for the future is exportable editable text layers, but I am patient I know these things take a tremendous amount of work and it is not as easy as most people assume. not-in-use perhaps you should use it, no? But Seriously, Thank You!
  10. Thank You so much. I really appreciate all your kind words and support!
  11. Hahaha! Thanks, Peter I'll be sure call you to join me for a pint when I arrive. :P
  12. Thanks, Lilly! That is pretty much my style when it comes to corporate branding design work type work. So, I am glad it reads that way. :) I glad they allowed me creative license down to the message. Some of the stuff they were coming up with was way too much to put on a billboard and a bit too techie in speak.
  13. So, I just wanted to share a real world application case where I used Affinity designer for professional client work. I am not going to win any design awards on this stuff. What is most important to my client is that their message stands out. The challenge I face with the tech industry is making anything look remotely interesting. Maybe one day I get a chance to do something for apple.... ha, yeah right :P All design and concept was created and developed by me. These campaigns will be running for the next 4 weeks in NY city I have two other digital billboard locations displaying my work on a major highway (Rt 80) of NJ and also in the entrance of the Lincoln Tunnel as well. I have received any pictures from my client yet on those, but I will get out there at some point and shoot my own.
  14. G Great! I am more than positive that you be satisfied with your purchase and especially all that damn money you will save and do something else with! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts on my youtube channel! I am glad to hear that you are you finding them useful in understanding AD and AP. Cheers!
  15. Hello MacGueurle, Sorry, I am just chiming in on your question. Yes, I love my Huion610 and I still will be using it as my preferred mobile solution. I have used Wacom products. I used owned and small graphire, the Bluetooh Graphire and the Wacom 12xW which was 1k when I bought it. I still have it and would gladly sell it to anyone who wants to 300 bucks or your best offer. just message me. The only reason why I didn't like the 12xw is I was not a big fan of the screen as mention by Matt. I sure someone else would be happy with it but for me I was not. Also, I was not a fan of the size and also the HD version came out soon after I bought that one too which left me with a bad taste in my mouth just because it cost so much to buy these Wacom products and I have invested enough so I decided to take a chance on Huion and I am very much satisfied with their product thus far. The Huion 610 was my entry point into their product line, but though I was happy with the 610I always wanted that direct interaction with the screen with some of my work. Now as for your question on the tilt. There currently isn't any tilt support with this product at the moment, but honestly I don't use that feature, hell I didn't use this feature on my Wacom so what I don't know doesn't hurt me. As for the quality of tablet I think it every bit worth the price that significantly cheaper than a Wacom of similar size which would be in the Intous line. trying it at that price is worth it. Ohh and the drivers on a Wacom are a lot more full featured then Huion. Ohh, and a litte note to anyone who purchase a Huion tablet. Make sure you install the drivers before you plug in the USB. I have heard of people having issues with tablet who have not installed the drivers first. Matt: the screen on this thing is beautiful and HD. Right now I have it connected to my computer via HDMI. and it looks nice next ot my laptop screen. I know exactly what you mean about the Cintiq screen! I am very happy with this purchase! I hope that answered your question. :)
  16. I just updated my tablet! I enjoy my Huion 610 tablet, but I really could not consider a Cintq it just way to expensive for my budget. I just bought this the Huion GT185hd.All I can say is holy crap this a nice piece of gear! I just received it! I had to run off on an assignment, so I will play with it more tonight. First thoughts. Build quality is very nice. size is perfect. Its not to big and it's not small. The screen is beautiful. The pen feels good. There no lag and I hooked it up to a core 2 Dou computer not my newer I7 Powerbook. Installation was easy. Did I mention this thing is beautiful? Now, the only think was having a bit of an issue with was getting the pressure sensitivity to work. I think It might nothing more tweaking a few settings. pressure sensitivity worked fine in photoshop but in Ad had issues. I did not try AP yet http://www.huiontablet.com/all-products/pen-tablet-monitor/huion-gt-185hd.html
  17. Hey, Just William! I did invite critique. and absolutely appreciate your view. I think you are less "amateur" than you think. Your critique was well delivered and well received. Your ability to clearly depict what you feel is right, wrong, or what could be better is what makes your statements valid and respected. You provide some good points and I made some adjustment with a bit more focus on the feedback you provided. If it is better or if it is worse really is up to you to decide, but I think the piece has benefited from your input. Also, thanks for you last statement. I guess I have set some expectations from the work I have posted here and online in general. I believe I am pretty good at what I do. I am far from being as good as I strive to be, but that will come. Thanks for reminding that there are people actually paying attention to my work even if they have not said anything in the thread.
  18. Thanks, The_Giant_Bloomers! Yup, I agree. It is an unfortunate truth that there not many female tech engineers in this industry, in fact, there isn't one in my clients office, but I forced one into the illustration to show some sort of female representation especially due to the title. How can you have Excellence and not have a female involved somewhere in the mix?
  19. You expressed yourself fine. I understood you and appreciate what you had to say. :)
  20. Thank you, Matt! You are right the glasses are a bit thick. plus I scaled the image down and forgot recheck scale with object setting in the stroke options. The Males were purposely made to be similar to represent that their all the same type of person with a similar skill sets, but perhaps I should play with their hairstyles a bit more to break them a bit. MY client says the following graphic is common in his industry, but he is tired of seeing it and wanted something that represents the same thing, but executed differently, so this is my first take on it. We see where this goes. Well, I can say this much it was fun to do in AD really just so fluent for me to work in. I don't even consider the other option at all anymore. It does all what I need so...
