  1. Yah, that won't work for your application unless you got time to burn. Sorry! Well it could be a nice alternative for future projects I guess.
  2. Have you looked at or considered : http://tumult.com/hype/ I am not sure if it fits your needs, but it is worth checking it out. -R
  3. I totally understand... I just could not resist making little fun of the whole thing at the expense of others pain, it is the cynic in me. Those that really need arrows don't take me so seriously. I am only poking fun! Please don't hunt me down, hog tie me and beat me with a wet noodle. When arrows get here I going to coin that day International Affinity Arrow Day! 5 years from now when Affinity presents application development timeline at the next apple conference they better highlight the day arrowheads on a stroke was added with smiley faces, stars and user base growth stats!
  4. God bless those who livelihood relies on arrowheads. What did people do prior to affinity? I just can't imagine anyone paying Adobe a subscription service just for arrow heads functionality. That some damn expensive arrow heads! Man I imagine once Affinity updates their app with arrow head support they going get a damn good bump in sales! I think I am going to design the ultimate arrow head app and focus it on the science, math, and medical community! I would be an millionaire for sure! hahahahaha! Come on laugh people it kinda funny how this one feature is the number one most complained about feature in the entire abundance of features not found in Affinity Designer!. I swear when you add this feature I going to to use the hell out of it. I gonna make everything I can out of Arrows I swear I gonna use this feature like it was the second coming of the light flare feature found in that other app!
  5. Hello ,David. I think the reason why you are not seeing this option is because you might be in the Draw persona. You need to be in the pixel Persona. Hope that helps :)
  6. You are welcome and thank you for considering my course. If you have any questions feel free to ask. All the best and I look forward to seeing you in my course. - Cheers
  7. Hello Baal_uriel You can purchase either course. The course on Udemy was my first course. I created that one when affinity was version 1.2 I am in the process of adding new content for that course to reflect some of the new features in version 1.4, but all the existing content in that course covers all the basic tools and covers techniques that an illustrator / designer would use. I just released my lynda course. the focus of that course was for beginners and much of the content tent and topics cover are more so focused on graphic designers /artist. Both courses are for the Beginners and covers many of the same topics but from those two point of views. You would not be at a disadvantage from taking either course. The udemy course is a 1-time fee and you own access to that course for life. Also, there is a message board and an area to ask questions of me or other students in the course. The course on Lynda is a subscription service you can sign up and not only will you have access to my course but you will have access to the entire lynda catalog. By signing up to lynda you have access to the affinity photo course as well. that course was created by another author. Hopefully, I gave you enough to make a decision. Cheer and Thank you! Ronnie
  8. Hello, Johnny! Sorry, I was on vacation and I just saw your post. I hope you were able to figure out how to fix that issue. If you have not been able to figure it out all you need to do is go into you stroke setting and change the end cap to a butt cap. Let me know if you are still having issues. Cheers! Ronnie
  9. Excellent! Looking forward to having a play! Great work as usual. I am glad to see you charging a very reasonable price for your work. I know this stuff takes a lot of work to create. I don't use many media brushes, but I am going to purchase these anyway just because I think you deserve a few dollars for your work and for all the free stuff you have given this community! Thank You!
  10. Thank You! :) Stay focused, keep experimenting and try to be observant of the world around you. You can do that by taking lot of pictures and studding lights, Shadows, and colors and how they interact with the objects of focus. Cheers and Good Luck!
  11. I was working on some wireframes and was thinking how cool it would be from a UX/UI designer to be able to take a multi-artboard document and connect then with flexible noodle-like connections that would flex and change depending on the placement of the connection and the screen so that you can see the flow between the different states. Then, I thought it also would be nice to draw hotspots in the export persona that you can link to various artboards. An extra cool feature would be the ability to applying a transition effect like push, pull, fade swipe etc. This would be great in a "presentation persona/prototyping persona" mode that also can be sent to your phone where you have the "Affinity Viewer" app. This would be a downloadable free app that anyone can download to view a .afp(affinity presentation file. Then you can display a demo of your app design with live links to various screens. This same feature could even be utilized by non ux/ui designer for presenting a slide presentation! This would totally be a better basic solution for the use of tools like powerpoint and keynote as well. ....ohh, the possibility would be exciting.....What a tall order or awesome that would be!
  12. First off, I would like to say that your still life shot is gorgeous! I love how you have set up the light in this scene. The composition is strong and the items you chose are well selected. I really get a sense of style, time and place from this image. This is image has a story and that is what makes it so interesting among other things. I too, do some photography work. It is not my main day to day thing, but it is a skill that helps me with understanding what I am seeing in the world that surrounds us. There are details that surround our everyday life that we take for granted, but you don't truly appreciate them till you focus and really try to understand what you are seeing and I find a camera is a great way to fucus your attention to the visual world around us. You are envious of me? It goes both ways and I think we both learn plenty from the approach. It is really the approach and the journey one takes that rewards us in the end. Yah, sure your some what stuck with what you have composition and light wise, but you know that going into the project and you make decisions based on that. It is a workflow and that workflow is what contributes to the beauty and originality. Anyway, hope that makes sense and I didn't ramble too much :P #adwinechallenge
  13. I like your style. Your lines are expressive and consistent.Well done.
  14. Thank you justwilliam for the compliments and insight into how you would approach this. I created this illustration to see how far I could push the realism based on the idea that this was a bottle shot in studio product shoot setup. The great thing about Affinity Designer is that it gave me the ability to try out different lighting ideas before even actually shooting a product that doesn't exist. I tried diffusing the light a bit more, but I felt like the sharpness of the bounce reflections was consistent with the majority of references I saw online so I ran with that look. Also, I felt like the soft diffuse had a different visual effect that made my bottle look like it had a different feel to the surface even making it look a bit more matte in the finish. I have few different versions I should share. The options are infinite! I actually explain a bit of my approach in my Lynda.com course. I used this image as the backdrop of another project in my course. Sure, I could have just used a photo, but I would not have learned as much. Creating this image taught me a lot about seeing and how to apply what I seeing to the tools and effects available in Affinity Designers tools set. Also, the study also gave me some additional content to share in my course which aint a bad thing :)
  15. Do need to have 2 thought bubbles? can you put both items in one bubble and but the radio in the shopping cart? Can you have her rub her chin and focus her eyes up and to the right? It might make her look like she thinking more then just staring at us.
  16. Thank you so much for the kind words and support! I am so glad to hear you are picking up a few tips from my course. Hell, I am glad to hear you are watching my course. Thank you so much for your support it really means a lot. Cheers! (Literally) lol
  17. This looks like this was done with traditional media. really nice work!
