  1. @Gabe Affinity Photo Windows Customer Beta - 1.9.0.923 no problems detected, works fine. Waiting for release. Awesome.
  2. @Gabe Thank you so much for support. If there's anything else I can do to clarify the issue... just ask @Joachim_L Hope so. B waitin. Thank you.
  3. Error: [Title: Failed to open file] C:\АБФ\IMG_2435 2.HEIC The file type is not supported. [Button: Close] P.S. Everything (folder creation, unzipping, copying) was done with Windows Explorer
  4. As far as I can see I'm opening the same 2.8 mb file from the network share on mac and windows. Hidden files and underscore files are explicitly visible on windows for me 'coz I don't use any explorer-like interface, and different file types are colored differently in the file manager. For the experiment I even used FastStone image viewer, which opened the .heic just fine under Windows. The thing is, you can choose external programs to launch from the context menu ('Edit with external program') in FastStone viewer for the currently opened file. I have Affinity Photo and GIMP set there. So, if I open the .heic from cyrillic folder with the FSViewer, it opens fine. If I choose GIMP via 'Edit with external program', it opens fine. If I choose Affinity Photo from the same menu, I get the error.
  5. @Gabe "Ф" is ok - it won't allow to open. "АБ" as well - will fail. For info. My Windows 10 is Pro/English
  6. @Gabe I've tested a bit. Network share has nothing to do with the issue. The folder name is the cause. Affinity Photo won't import the .heic if it is in a folder which name is non-latin. I've got a project with a folder that contains cyrillic letters. I was unable to import .heic locally or from network shares if the folder contains cyrillic letters with spaces and without. Got unsupported type error. While jpegs were imported/opened with no errors from the same folder.
  7. Hi @Gabe Windows 10 20H2 64-bit build 19042.746 SMB1 network share NOD32 Antivirus Affinity Photo 1.85.703/Designer 1.8.5.703/Publisher 1.8.5.703 under Windows while on macOS I have only Affinity Photo/Designer (if it makes sense) Is there something else you mean by setup? Does CPU/RAM/whatever make any diff for the issue? PS .heic taken from iOS 14
  8. Affinity Photo (Windows) 1.8.5.703 Opening .heic from a network share yields "The file type is not supported" The same file being opened from local storage opens normally with no errors. P.S. Mac version (1.8.6) has no such a problem. It opens from the network share just fine.
  9. Up. Anybody? There is another issue, not a reply to the original post.
  10. Affinity Designer 1.7.1.404 Can't export a group placed out of the canvas. My canvas is smaller than the selection i'm exporting. Exporting to PNG. If I select "Selection with background" then the proposed dimension is 0px by 0px. Sounds ok. If I "Selection without background" then the dimension is real (some 900px by 1300px) but the Estimated file size is about 5 kilos. If I move the group over the canvas then the estimated size flies up (even with the smaller-than-the-selection canvas) 340+ kilobytes. So, If I export the selection hovering the canvas I get only the part of it copped by that canvas. If I export the selection outside the canvas then I get just nothing weighing 5 kilos with pixel dimension of the selection.
  11. GIMP is fine with it. Though there is a question why it can not be implemented on Windows. The answer leaves more questions. Can live without it anyway. AP is awesome.
  12. When I resize (from large to small) a group attributes change. As a result: effects (outer shadow blur and position) and stroke path don't scale respectively. Outer shadow goes displaced, shadow blur doesn't keep it's sharpness factor and the stroke becomes wider than it was before scaling.
