[Using Brushes with Affinity]

Affinity Designer certainly can import PSD files, although there may be some things it doesn't handle very well. I only have PS Elements (and I'm hardly what you could call a 'power' user) so I'm not too sure about the specifics.

 

 

What kind of trouble, Ally? Do you get any error messages?

Alfred, when I attempt to import the brushes, it is set to "Affinity files" for file type, which doesn't seem to find these .psd files when I look out to the Downloads folder they are in.

 

Any thoughts? Should it be a more complicated process then that?

Hi all-- I just downloaded Affinity Beta for Windows. I am excited to get started. I have a background in Photoshop use, but couldn't keep up with the costs after receiving an older version for a gift initially.

 

For use with brushes (I am hoping to get back into graphic design for things such as invitations, art prints in homes, etc), can we use any brush, such as those meant for Photoshop? Is there a way to convert them?
