  1. Bug or feature? Duplicating an artboard doesn't create a new slice for it automatically like it does in the 1.5 version. So you have to manually go to the Export Persona > Layers > select the duplicated artboard and click Create Slice. Also creating a new artboard from scratch gets a new slice automatically. By the way, nice job with the Font Styles! Finally they are ordered in a logical way from lightest to thickest.
  2. I can confirm the Text updating in the symbols which seems to randomly work and not work sometimes. Another weird behavior regarding symbols: if I have a symbol inside multiple parent symbols, if I delete it from one parent symbol it disappears from the other parent symbols as well. If I hit Undo, only the current parent symbol gets the removed symbol back. This bug is the same in the stable 1.5 version as well. Hopefully the Symbols will get improved cause they are a real headache right now!
  3. I know you replied but I just wanted to make sure if this "feature" is by design or a bug and since Sean is asking me how do I expect this to work I'm guessing it's by design. So yeah... hopefully it will be ok on the final release. Thanks for taking in all the critiques and comments You rock!
  4. So you just can't see it, can you?? Please open the Mac version and the Windows version and compare. Since I only have a PC here's a comparison with PS: Which one make most sense to you?? AD or PS? In case you don't see it I'll explain: the font style should be arranged from the lightest to boldest. Makes sense now? Can't believe I have to tell this to someone developing a graphic design software... Really guys! Now look at another comparison, Montserrat: See the chaos in AD?
  5. Please don't forget about this: I'm insisting on this because most UI designers use the font styles extensively and it's so annoying and a waste of time to look for a specific font weight in a list that doesn't make any sense. Since the Mac version doesn't have this problem I don't think it hard to implement, right guys? Thanks for the awesome job btw! You rock!
  6. Double clicking a color swatch in the Swatches panel doesn't do anything. It should edit the clicked color by default, at least this is the behaviour in 1.5.
  7. @MEB You're welcome! Hopefully it will be fixed in the final 1.6. Can't wait for the final release
  8. Also fonts related, the style order of fonts on Windows is just random, but on Mac they are fine! I've complained about this on the 1.5 version as well and it hasn't been addressed to this day. This is what I'm talking about: What's the logic of this order? I mean Regular, Bold, Bold Italic, then Italic, then Black etc... I mean, why!? Can you please do something about it?
  9. I see this hasn't been addressed in the latest 1.6.0.83 beta, at least the Windows version. On the Mac version it looks just fine: So any chance for a fix for us humble Windows users???
  10. Any word of a future implementation of this feature?
  11. One of the things that I don't get in AD is why in the world would you sort the Font Style order alphabetically? Just take a look at the complex font like Relaway: It starts with Black the continues with Regular and so on... it's not even alphabetically 100%. Makes absolutely no sense! The normal order should be from the lightest to the thickest, right? Or am I not thinking right? Also it would be awesome to have a preview of the Font Style similar to Photoshop. Just an idea. Thanks for the awesome work you've done so far and for supporting Windows users as well!
  12. +1000 for me as well! not sure if this will make the feature materialize faster, but for a professional vector based software, this is a must have!
  13. +1000! I just bought AD for Windows and the saving/exporting path is pretty silly. It should definitely work like p10n suggested above. Not sure why they didn't made it this way from the get go since it's the most logical way of working.
  14. Hey guys... I've got to this thread because I'm sick of the Windows monopoly on desktop and I would love to move onto something like Linux but since I'm a graphic designer I need the Adobe products to do my job and since Macs are so damn expensive (and a pretty closed ecosystem for my taste) I'm stuck to Windows, version 8.1 to be exact. I don't want to move to Windows 10 since I don't like the direction microsoft is going with its UWP and since adobe will release their first UWP software (Adobe XD), this really made me mad and started looking for alternatives. So far I found Figma a great alternative to Adobe XD and Sketch (another Mac only software), which is a in browser app and would work great on Linux. Now all I need is a great Photoshop alternative to work in Linux. And AD could be it! It would great to have all the Afinity software in the futuer available for Linux. It would be a bold statement against giants like Adobe which we will never see on Linux. Someone has to be first and take the first step. This move could give you a huge boost in reputation for sure which would earn you trust among many users. And maybe more companies will follow! And the kickstarter campaign would be a great start for you guys to see how people would react. Also why aren't you thinking of changing the payment model? A prepaid combined with a subscription or something similar. The guys at Bohemian made a similar change in strategy as well which is not perfect for I think they had to do it even though many users didn't react too well. I know this was one reason why many people are using AD but in time you'll have to change it right since it's not very sustainable, right?
