The Ferrari Dino Berlinetta Speciale prototype was unveiled at the Paris motor show in 1965.  In my opinion the side view is its best angle, I can’t say that I think the front is particularly pretty. It recently sold for a ridiculous amount of money, over £3.2m/$4m.
 
As I wanted it to be photorealistic what looks like a fairly simple drawing was plenty of work. There’s a lot of fine detail, like the vector textures I made up for the tyres and wheels, that isn’t necessarily obvious, especially at this reduced size, but if it wasn’t there then it loses some of its realism.  I'll probably go back to it in a week or two and see what bits I don't like.
 
It’s also quite a large drawing, the full size output’s 88.5MP (11520x7680).

This take served three purposes:
a lighting study session for my sons a first project proposal for a client for me, an approach to the Inpainting Brush in AP as
the table top surface had too many imperfections. The presentation was successful though the final shot was more
colourful with some added BG.
 
 

 
 

Client asked if I could illustrate a shopping centre in for an infographic, Affinity's guide options were invaluable here, it took a little while to get the angles correct but so pleased with the results.

A thread about Penrose triangles prompted me to have a go at reproducing one of Oscar Reutersvärd's impossible windows. I've attached the result of my efforts.

First logo done for client with
AD & Wacom Intuos pen tablet (M).

All vector done in Aff Designer. Lots of gradients - some soft vectors for highlights.
 
One thing thats nice is the copy and paste ( command shift v) of an all ready created gradient into a new shape - you don't have to save it as a swatch -  just paste into your new shape and adjust.
Real time saver.

First full day free to myself for a while and Ive been using this style in a lot of client work over that last couple of years, so thought Id see what happens if I'm not watching the clock and pack it with shading and detail, really quite please with the outcome. I'm going to add some characters to this next week if I get another free day.

I find doing these little "projects" is best way to learn an app. 
 
Looking forward to the new tools in a coming releases.
