Here's a list of some of the bugs which have been fixed in the beta build 2.2.1.2063, which is Release Candidate 2 of the 2.2.1 patch

Bugs affecting Desktop (Windows and macOS)
Certain ICC Color profiles were not showing in Document Setup/Convert or Soft Proof  Bugs affecting Windows
Windows "File is ready for archiving" flag is not getting set File > Save or Save As. [AF-637] Known Issues: There are some other known issues in the FAQ Forum which are not fully resolved, but we think it is important to get these fixes above released as soon as possible.

Many thanks for the new 2.2 update. A very impressive and extensive bug fixture list combined with some new fantastic features.. and undoubtedly a lot of work!
I really like the new 'Object Creation Data Entry' and 'Move Data Entry' ...features

I've come up with a workflow that seems to work for me. I spend my mornings sketching abstract shapes. I draw them the old-school way with pencil and paper. I cut out the “good” ones and keep them in a folder for inspiration. I then take a digital picture of the one I want to work with and place it into Designer. After recreating the shape I start to see what I can come up with. I've posted the original sketch and the final product. I never know where these drawings are going to go, but that's what I like… the journey, and hopefully a decent destination.

Comic Book Toolkit
It is really about building a comic Toolkit rather than Template in Publisher. Just wanted to see how feasible it is... Used images from Inktober and Untamed as they are a mix of vector and raster images + can create pages  | panels in AD and just place!
Still some work to do yet but it is getting there! Still a lot of assets to add

The test template (below) was built in Publisher but a lot of the layouts could also be constructed in Designer.

FYI: I switched off: Auto-scroll | Auto-switch Category and Enable Associated Tools. but reactivating them did not have any effect. The brush set is new in 2.1 not an import from 1.10 or 2.0. The Category list is quite small in live version but more extensive in beta.

I also noticed last night that sometimes adding base textures can get 'stuck' i e when you delete it from a brush:
a. The red outline appears as edited
b. The Texture has not been removed and you have to repeat the process.

I can use it for the Master Brush...already used it! ... only found out myself yesterday that you cannot use if for the sub-brush....never mind nice try!😀
It is Ok! I have plenty of other brushes I can use!😀
 

I was going to suggest that you can watch the Context Toolbar to see the size value, but I had not considered this for sub-brushes.
That certainly sounds frustrating and our apologies for any inconveniences caused due to this in the meantime!
It appears as though this should hopefully be resolved in the next update (and therefore assumedly the next beta version available also), based on the updates to the development log

Ok! I will try and re-create these events (and record it!) ... I am still working on the brush set.. i will see if I can catch it and check wet edges!. but I am a bit limited without the size (I can get around the initial brush size issue from the context bar BUT not with the Sub-Brush EEK!) It is not the first time I have seen these type of issues. To be honest I did not check whether wet edges accidently became active; I tend not to use the option it! I was editing the dynamics panel when display window just changed to grey... I have seen a couple of instances where the display 'blanks out' and where the new 'update brush' + switching brushes sometimes gets a bit lost. 'Double click' on another brush fixes it!

I was trying to re-build a brush set from scratch by creating a new labelled category. adding completely new brushes with importing existing nozzles from a previous set. then copying the settings from 1.10 to 2.2. just to see if a new 2.2 built  set stopped crashing. (I was having a lot of trouble with category (older 1.10 | 2.0 version)) ..I logged this here. So basically rapidly changing brushes (clicking) with dynamics panel open and or artboard selected could cause AD to stop responding....but it still happened in new brush build!

Thanks for confirming that for me - I've tested this in 2.1.1 and it appears as though the behaviour is the same.
When using the brush editor dialog, the preview will reach a maxed out size (I believe this depends on your monitor resolution and scale, for me this is around 85px), at which point it will no longer increase in size in the dialog, but the slider will keep increasing the default size for the brush:

Therefore I understand this to be expected behaviour of this dialog - however there is an improvement request with our team to see if this can be updated in the future, such that the brush can continue visually scaling past this point.

I really like the new 'Object Creation Data Entry' and 'Move Data Entry' ...features 
I for one really appreciate what you have achieved and will achieve in future updates...keep it up!

Is there a full manual I can purchase? No, this is all there is. Is this really free? Yes, I'm making it available free of charge. It's copyrighted to prevent others from publishing it as their own. Is there an iPad version? No, the steps and screenshots are for the macOS and Windows versions. Is there a version for Designer or Photo? No, but the text features are largely the same so you may find it useful. Why does it use a print layout if it's a PDF? It's a demonstration of how to use the features it describes to create a print book. Original version:

I do not know if the subject will come up in the search function, but this topic of 'road maps/feature plan' has been explained and discussed by the forum moderators 'ad nauseam'.  Why worry about v3 when v2 is currently being developed, improved and released?  Lets give the developers a break.

New work - Our Lady of Brighthelmstone.
This was my recent submission for a call to artists put out by a new gallery opening in the city of Brighton & Hove - sadly rejected.
The theme was metamorphosis, so I painted the city morphed into a fabulous drag queen, in the style of an Uber-kitsch religious painting (taking “Our Lady of Guadeloupe” as my main inspiration - Brighthelmstone is the old name for the city of Brighton).
There are a total of 33 visual “easter eggs” contained within the picture, some architectural, some cultural. If any of you are familiar with the place, have fun spotting them!

This is my first drawing using Affinity Designer 2.0 (A revamped version of the colourful Lena which I have not uploaded!)
It is really a test of the updates made to the Brush Dynamics in Affinity 2.0
Created a new set of inking brushes that makes use of interpolation and the new Distance options with the brush dynamics. I have found that the brushes are much smoother, faster and more responsive..I really like the ability of 'Distance' to allow for the tapering of the nozzle. Even though you have to adjust the direction of the graph!

The software version can be seen on the splash screen and the About dialog (in Help > About Affinity Photo).
If you’ve purchased from the Affinity Store — each time you start the Affinity Store software it will check for updates and offer any available update .The Windows builds only automatically checks once per day. In the Help menu there is a manual "Check for updates". The latest update will install over the top of any earlier version, with no need to uninstall. You can download the latest installer by logging into the affinity store here and find the order in your account and use the "Download" button in there. Alternatively, this new release (and previous versions of Affinity Photo for Windows) can be downloaded from this link (those installers are NOT for customers who made Microsoft Store purchases).
If you've purchased from the Microsoft Store — Microsoft Store updates are done automatically by the operating system (each time you start the application). If this does not happen for you, open the Windows Store app and click the three dots in the top right corner of the app and then go to Downloads and Updates. Click Get Updates.
