  1. You could also try: Project Brush Monster Club Brush Set 5 and/or Project Brush Poison Set 6 :Grass Project Brush Poison Set 6:Grass (vector)
  2. Thank you....I hope you find them useful
  3. Thank you for the extensive update (bug fix)...especially the Pen crashing;but more importantly all the hard work.... AD installation (update) Smooth and without error... AD from Microsoft Store also smooth installation (became available 30 mins ago!) Still waiting on AP
  4. Added the final component of the Poison Project: Some of it's many vector assets They can be found in the resources section here! Poison Vector Assets Enjoy!

  6. That is a good question. and makes perfect sense... If you are building vector brushes in AD it's not the size of the document but the dimensions of the slices that you export that is important. The original ones I created were quite elongated and narrow (2000x300px) really reflecting what I had seen developed in tutorials. After a lot of experimentation I found that this was not necessary. The slice/Brush Size can be much smaller. Recent brushes have been created using a variety of sizes. Set up an AD template (A4/A3 size not that important) with export slices at around 1000 x 300px with guides to highlight their position. I tend to use this as a base and adjust export sizes as necessary and depending on the nature of the brush; some brushes work better with a greater height others with greater width. You also need to consider how much variation of texture/patterning you want along the brush. Vector Brushes give considerable advantage in this area. Template Considerations Colour Work White/shades of grey on Black Background (negative image) Slice Sizes+Output Common Sizes I personally use as a base: 1000x400px (output 1x and 0.50x) 1000x 300px (output 1x and 0.50x) 1000x 200px (output 1x and 0.50x) 1000x180px (output 1x and 0.50x) but not really restricted to any of these. Output Now tending to set PNG output without ICC profile and active Palettized with 256 Greyscale (You could probably get away with less!) to reduce the file size as vector brushes can get large. Once the slices are set up you can use export persona to add different sizes. To keep the file size smaller Exporting as .PNG Once you start testing a Vector Brush may need to adjust size of image downwards (hence create 2 sizes initially) as brushes at 1000px can feel a bit 'sluggish' on screen..if so use smaller image. Hope this helps...hope you have as much fun as I did creating them.
  7. They should!...but they were built on Windows..have a look at the links below..they will help you Information Issues relating to installing iPad Brushes: brushes on iPad and Loading IPad Brushes Tutorials and some excellent links These fantastic tutorials also very useful if you wish to explore creating your own..and have some fun at the same time. Managing Raster Brushes Managing Assets: @Frankentoon kindly created a video tutorial for installing AD assets including Brushes on youTube.   8. Just recreate it in AD or Export as PDF from AI and try that route. If you want the object non-destructive then ALT Click Subtract..will create compound version Something I noticed that your file has 3 options for opacity on the colour panel....I hadn't seen that before (control click on opacity! black circle) Color;Noise;intensity;
  9. was the file created in AD or imported from somewhere else? If you just recreate 2 squares coloured or not and use subtract as Alfred has suggested it works.... Using your file with the 2 objects it does not you are correct....I tried getting rid of graduation + Strokes+ changed colour + made objects same style + selected nodes and closed but still could not get it to work
  10. Vector Brushes Added 30 new vector brushes for this project Project Brush Assets Crazy Tree enjoy!
  11. Added 30 Vector Brushes based on original raster set: PROJECT BRUSH -CrazyTree 01 01.pdf ProjectVectorBrush-CrazyTree.zip
  12. You could try an experiment with scattering using an Intensity Brush 1. Create the shapes separately as PNG (transparent)+ in uniform Square 2. Create new Intensity Brush and add your nozzle shapes 3. Brush General: set large size; ACC 100%;HD;100%;Spacing100%(to start with adjust for effect);Flow (100% in this instance)ignore shape and rotation 4. Dynamics(Here is the fun bit); No accumulation(it blurs) I believe you want solid;Size Jitter(set low and random);Rotation (50% random);Scatter X + scatter Y (200% or +- for effect) This will give you a single changeable colour but allow you to stamp single elements If you want a colour change in the same brush set the value of HUE to around 10% (others can be adjusted for effect) I did a quick test using some very basic shapes:as attached shapeScatterTest.afbrushes
  13. Yep.....You need to go back to resources and locate The Project Brushes I am Still currently working on these but there are 210 vector brushes available in these sets... Vector brushes are a bit more time consuming to produce (I am sure you are aware of that) OK There are 6 Project Brush Sets so far. These contain refined brushes from the original Library and a lot of new ones (They are also the ones I use the most now) Most of the brushes in Poison are new and not based on original sets 3 Sets:Poison; Big-T and Ammonite have sets of Raster and Vector Brushes Poison Big-T Ammonite Poison is your best starting point (300 brushes 150Raster/150Vector) I put the sample/scamps with original drawing which is here: Poison Enjoy! Should save you a lot of work!
  14. Yeah...It's not strictly true...If you are working on Brushes is it advisable to constantly/export/ save just like you would with a file. If app resets they can get lost but...to be honest for me it has not been a common occurrence.. So technically you may have to recreate the brushes...However...... I have been working on a brush library for over a year...and have a large number of brushes and all the files used to create them...If you have a look in the resources...There are a few there...but I have many more that have not been released to the forum... If you have a look through and let me know which ones you would like redesign/edit...let me know could supply some of the original nozzles to you so you can edit (play around)...destroy....etc ...or you could just download and use them...up to you (NB: They are PC based but should be OK) Adding texture to illustrations...mm.... Have a look at these and let me know what you think...When I first started...creating textures for placing into vectors were the first ones built..... Dots Hatching Organics I have moved on since to Project sets and Texture Paint (a group of around 1000 brushes)
  15. Sounds as though the App Reset.. It's a not good feeling having your work deleted.! Can I ask a couple of questions about the brushes?: 1.How many Brushes were you working on. 2.Were they vector; or Raster or both 3.Have you the original nozzles(images to recreate) 4.What style for what purpose? The reason I ask is that you may not be able to get them back (I am sure one of the Affinity Serif Masters may be able to help).. and maybe I could help in some way
  16. Have a look around on this site (may need translation!)......Not necessarily what you are looking for...but worth a look anyhow https://affinitytutorials.de/affinity-photo/
