  1. Just tried to open a couple test files from previous beta....and it's crashing...(aware could be expected) I tested with 'small' previous test files and seem to open OK but multiple pages with a greater variety of objects..fails including one highlighted as a recovery file
  2. I like the additions to the Text format Panel but wouldn't it save an operation if a 'Duplicate' option was added to the Panel. (similar to the process with brushes in AD) Currently you have to apply 'edit copy of' in the Table Formats panel
  3. Did you check out the updated versions?...These 2 sets are older versions...
  4. Noticed that this was working correctly today. So but been trying to force the issue...Unfortunately, highlighted another issue with the TOC Separator input field. 1 Build TOC 2. Play around with Separator options 3. If you delete the initial Tab default setting and select the text in the actual/Used TOC Text Frame you can no longer activate the DropDown field for the Separator...just keeps flashing. But you can add to the input field
  5. Yes you can Sorry...managed to crash it! It's Quite easy really...Edit the Paragraph Style: Go to Tab Stops and simply add a 'Leader' (.) as image:
  6. It is caused by adding characters to the TOC/Separator Input field before tab to prefix text 1. Edit separator by trying to insert character into field before the tab
  7. Publisher crashed when attempting to edit TOC_Style:{Name} Not sure what caused this one Process 1. Editing the TOC Style Separator by adding/removing dot in Seperator:input dropdown Field 2. Clicked on edit ParagraphStyle and crashed report sent as attached
  8. Are you in fields Panel...? If so click on the Label to left of field you are trying to insert...It's acts as a button.
  9. It' easy to get caught out....you can put TOC's on Master pages...and Style the Number and TOC text independently
  10. Not as such...but you have Fields [View/Studio/Fields] that let you use Sections and Section Naming identified from the Pages Panel [Right Click on selected page and select Start New Section]
  11. May be obvious..but have you selected the right checkbox in TOC Panel Style list to activate the numbers?
  12. Process Build Graduation on text boxGraduation on text box 1. Add text box 2. insert filler text 3. Add fill colour with Text Frame Panel 4. Edit with Fill Tool (G) and switch to Context Fill +frame Type Linear Observed Creates a rectangular 4 node dotted fill box instead of a single directional dotted line (is this new or bug?)
  13. You can add your table layout/Style to the Table Formats Panel These are saved 'templates of your table layout. You can then re-apply to a new 'local' table on a page;edit the layout;duplicate the layout;import from other documents Also when you save a document. Table formats can be exchanged between documents...but you also have to remember to re-import any styles used on the actual table Regarding the vertical alignment:This is can be controlled from the dedicated table panel and the Table Format Panel
  14. You would have to use the Replace button to relocate the image. Update is for changes made to linked/embedded images Locate locates an image in the document (more obvious with multiple pages)
  15. Gutter Width is editable from the Text Frame Panel [ATL+T] or View/Studio/Text Frame
  16. It does work but can be a little confusing at first Basically, there are 3 parts: A>Set up you Styles Create Styles in Paragraph Styles for your headers {what you want to define as TOC content } B. Create TOC Text Frame in Document 1. Add Text Frame 2. Insert TOC either from Text/Table of Contents/Insert Table of Contents or Top Left Icon on TOC Panel [Without anything selected you should see 'No Table of Content Entries Selected'] 3. Open View / Studio/Table of Contents Panel 4. Make sure you have a text frame selected 5. Select style [applied to title/header/chapter name etc..] from the visible defined styles list in TOC Panel [checkbox]+page number checkbox if required This should add a basic list of headers and page numbers for the location of the defined style on pages in the document C.Define styles for use in TOC You can apply styles to the TOC using TOC dropdown on the Table of Contents Panel [Click menu to create new] When you create a new Style name here 2 new Style (1Para+1Chr) Entries get added to the Text Styles panel. They exhibit the prefix of the TOC Style name [myStyleName:xxxx]. Edit these Styles to define the appearance of the actual TOC on the page (one for the TOC List;one for the TOC Page Number) There is also a tutorial video available to help you: https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/tutorials/publisher/desktop/video/286545105
  17. Nice list...I think you can nest styles using 'Groups'
  18. Ah! You mean fit frame to content Like InDesign...I haven't seen that one...There are additional options on the Picture Frame Tool but not directly applicable to the frame itself
  19. I agree..and it is indeed a powerful Indesign function...I am positive issues like this will be addressed in the future...But I also like the way Masters are editable from the layers Panel. I suppose you could use assets to construct overlays or add embedded files with additional page elements.... on top of layered Masters as another physical option/solution for now!
  20. Select your image/pictureFrame Then on the Context Bar Click on Properties..There are several options in here
  21. You can use any shape for text..including drawn by pen tool just click on shape with text frame tool (T)
  22. You can sort get around it..sort of by using the layers panel. Masters appear as locked layers. 1. You can add content to Master from here (layer) by releasing (Unlock) the layer for editing and changing content...It will also affect Master 2. Control +J will duplicate Master Content and release to the current page. Hide Master element beneath or remove. 3. You can also add multiple Masters to a single page (right-click on page and select Apply Masters) then un-check: 'replace existing' OR ALT+Drag Additional Masters over required page and these get stacked as layers in layers panel.
