  1. Wireframe Added Split Screen Wireframe (difficult to get full image wireframe for this one!)
  2. Thank you for sharing. I thought these were remarkably innovative and creative.. file a bit large though!.. but fantastic idea. Good to see brushes experimented with in this way.
  3. A Stand of Trees Experiment with new Vector Tree Toolkit All Vector 1500 x 600mm 300dpi Created partly from New Tree Toolkit containing 6 vector tree assembled elements and textures as part of the Untamed Project
  4. Full Vector Components of Tree Toolkit [T3] Tried to make each tree different Added a section of new branches that can also be used with the Camouflage Kits
  5. Totally agree. Some time ago a lot of the tutorials outlining the creation of 'vector' brushes emphasised brushes with 1500 - 2000 pixel width x height...it is not really necessary as you have found.. I haven't produced any brushes this small though.. I will look into it!.
  6. Thank you .This is an interesting set of vector brushes!.. I really like the last one!
  7. Have a look here for an overall explanation of brushes
  8. I tried this and not really having an issue You can easily draw 2 lines and connect them including having both lines selected and dragging the points over each other to stack Pen tool draw 2 separate lines Select both (use node tool) and drag nodes together (They should join together)..If not select both nodes and use join (shortcut key helps) The 'align to nodes of selected geometry' (Snapping on context toolbar!) may help
  9. You should be able to adjust the Hardness | Flow | Opacity on the context toolbar to create an airbrush effect. If you cannot then it is another issue! If you want the keep the settings: Select the brush you require DD Click on Brush in Panel and Duplicate the brush to create a new one!.. Then edit the changes in the slider menu Hint: There are lots of free stuff in resources
  10. Yeah it will be if you are drawing wireframes...remember of can save the changes you make as a style
  11. You could also try some of these vector brushes (probably need to reduce the size though)
  12. That is a difficult one!.. There are no line distortion tools for this yet But there are a few things you could try. I tend to draw these by hand 1. Manually draw the shape (If you have fill and stroke when expanded you should get 2 objects to edit when expand stroke is applied!) 2. Create a complex pressure shape in the Pressure graph to create an irregular line. 3. You could try (Tablet) tuning on the Pressure on context toolbar, create a line and then save the recorded results in the pressure graph 4. Use a vector brush that has distorted edge.. This will work If you are happy with raster | vector brushes 5. Use on of the rounded shape tools to create a circular shape with a large number of nodes.. Bake it then edit 6. Quickly rough out the shape and add nodes. adjust position (Do this with the line | sharp edge nodes)...then convert to round (it is much quicker!) 7. I also use the pencil tool with sculpt selected to distort a shape (This is probably you best method!)...and use the appearance panel to create multiple shapes or the Contour tool to add strokes and distortion 8. Or you could simply use a raster bush!
  13. Thank you...try out some of the organic ones!
  14. Full Vector Components of Tree Toolkit [T2]Tried to make each tree different Added a section of new branches that can also be used with the Camouflage Kits
  15. Hi It is a straightforward process 1. New file 2. Add a shape (in which to place your .png image) set shape to say 100 x 100 mm (no fill | no stroke; unless that is the effect you want!) 3.Select the shape 4. Select Fill Tool (G) 5. From the Context Tool bar select Context Type:Fill then choose your type from dropdown (bitmap) [tiled and high res .png would be a good choice] 6. Set Extend to Wrap (or see if other setting are suited to what you want to achieve) Adding to style panel 1. Select Style Panel 2. Add Style Category (on local menu) 3. Rename the new Style (same menu or right click on category!) 4. Select the shape containing the image 5. return to Style Panel menu and choose add style from selection There you go a. Frankentoon goes through the process here but with seamless patterns here b. Bob Byrne has a detailed explanation of the process here c. creating seamless brick or stone patterns here
  16. Thank you!.. I am sure it would!...I have been thinking about creating meshes of these in Blender...but that is some way off! .Was trying to build something I could re-use.. for my weird landscapes (this contains a lot of vector objects..it is a long way from completion!). With the initial paintings I an forever painting over | into base shapes.. So made a new kit that would add a lot of variety for raster and vector elements.
  17. Thank you!...This is just the first part! Still some work to do on this kit!...and there are other kits!
  18. Full Vector Components of Tree Toolkit [T1] Tried to make each tree different Still some work to do on the vector elements but this one is complete:
  19. Tree Toolkit 04 Six tree samples from new toolit This is the largest toolkit attempted so far 6 Vector Trees with vector assemblage and outines 6 Raster Painting Forms (seen in Untamed: Forests) Variations Shapes and Textures Tree Toolkit 04 01-03 Tree Toolkit 04 04-06 Tree Toolkit 04 Sample Variations
  20. Experiment with the pressure properties | graph on the stroke panel. and toggle the pressure options on the context toolbar. This should help you achieve the results you are looking for. Expand the stroke to outline and you can add further edges to the object with the outline tool OR add additional edges (Strokes) with the appearance panel Blank template below has predefined pressure properties for lines Blank.zip
  21. Drawing with just lines shouldn't be a problem...it is the cutting out the shape afterwards that presented the problem. If you planned for an outline shape wit a line | stroke then draw everything inside it should be OK. as you can then duplicate the background for use as a cutter
  22. Yep!...It just about planning really.. Useful to create a base shape/outline first before adding details.. do it all the time.. The blue lines have created the outline.. but with some extra bits that need deleting. The outline tool is really useful for enhancing patterns... as long as the separate elements are combined into a single curve | mesh.
  23. Is this made of solid shapes or lines? If lines it might be worth just drawing around the shape with a pen to create a solid object in the background (Separate layer or shift to back) You can then just add a line to the vector (Expand stroke if you wish) or then apply the contour tool to expand the shape outwards. or With the image shown (blue lines) Bake the result if need to and then apply divide to delete the lines you do not need
