  9. It is possible that is is simply a remnant of the creation process for 3rd party brushes.. If they were created using photo and assigned a tool...that's fine for photo. but the option is not yet available in designer... I am sure it will get added at some point!... cannot help you with the iPad...don't have one!
  10. I really like those red textures!😀
  11. As far as I am aware the associated tool options are not yet available for Affinity Designer (1.10). i.e you do not get that option in the brush settings. However,as it is available in Photo. Brush sets assigned to tools and then imported into Designer display the associated icon. With regards to brushes and erase options...I have never really assigned a specific brush to function as an eraser!...as you can just hit the 'E' key when using a brush to switch | toggle to erase mode...Also you can use Control key with pixel brush mode in the same way...
  12. Thanks!...took me a long time to evolve it (years!) It and has changed lots since I started with the Inktober Challenge... (First drawings were in Sketchbook but then Affinity arrived and I was hooked!😀) Reversing the process (Ink Raster outline and vector inserts instead of vector to raster insert) has changed the dynamic a bit.. The new brushes have also helped a lot... I intended to put up the 200 seamless patterns but it would just fill up the thread.. I am liking the comic grunge set!
  13. Project Brush 27 Texture Painters Extended sets with E and F collections Project Brush 30: Comic Grunge Added 40 new comic patterns to options Project Brush 19: Inker Added Texture Toolkit (40 Texture Brushes) with 200 optional 'ink effect' Seamless Patterns

  15. Project Brush Inker 19 Extended the Inker Brush set for this project. This year concentrating on creating an INK Texture Toolkit with 30 new brushes and 200 supporting 'ink' seamless patterns. With the original Inker set I integrated some of them into the third version of PB 19 'Inker' set. Some of these are available in resources here Changed the way project Brush sets work by making seamless pattern toolkits available to all existing brushes and making use of a much simpler Base Set. This has been completed for PB 19 Inker | PB 17 'Concept' and PB 29 'Grass' Also extended Project Brush 30 'Comic Grunge' with an additional 40 seamless patterns. (now 80 in total) Idea that each brush has access to 200 + 80 Seamless inking patterns! Both raster and vector
  16. For anyone else wearing out their graphics tablet in October... Brush Sets: Inkers: Project Brush 19 'Inker' Patterns: Project Brush 19 'Pattern Toolkit' 01 Gargoyle 500 x500 mm 300 dpi Affinity Designer
  17. Hi To be honest I have not been working on this experiment for a while...They should be available! However I had a look through the brushes to see how far I had progressed with this little experiment ... I believe that the set currently available is not the latest version So I have archived the original link and added the later versions.. There should now be about 30 brushes in the set.. but they are not labelled correctly! Updated the experimental set to V3 and removed older set! Still A W.I.P hence not added to resources yet!
  18. Not sure what you are trying to achieve but you could try a couple of things 1. If you want a flat solid brush reduce the dynamic settings especially accumulation and flow jitter. You could also combine this with a texture using 'base texture' (Set this also to black \ white) to avoid accumulation effects using greyscale .png 2. Have a play around with the blend modes to see you can create the effect you are looking for as @thomaso has already suggested 3. Use a brush from supplied sets that does not have any transparency. A solid nozzle brush may be the easiest way to get around you issue 4. Solid brushes can be made transparent just by tapping number keys (0=100%, 1=10%) 5. Apply Accumulation and/or Flow to 100%
  19. As requested! Uploaded a basic kit with samples of brushes from all 4 project sets currently being worked on. You can exchange the .png files to modify the patterns or invert | scale image Resources: Here
