Thank you...I am finding myself using these brushes a lot at the moment. The #inktober brush groups have evolved quite a bit.. happy with them now! Going to merge some of the new ones into Project Brush 19 Inktober and archive the 2020 set!

Project Brushes 19 & 30 mixed sample set A2 Uploaded a sample set of the latest brush offerings used for #Inktober 2022. Attempted to improve the brush set with the addition of PB 30 Comic Grunge and PB 19 Inker Texture samples Still Consists of 40 Raster brushes but extracted from 7 inker Brush sets. Updated for Affinity 2 but retained version 1 brush set Affinity 01 Affinity 01: Original Brush set (Sample sheet removed) Affinity 02 Affinity 02: Updated version 2 set with adjustment to dynamics to include Distance and Interpolate (Sample sheet as below). Replaced Linear Paint 01 with better nozzles! Extracted Brushes 1. PB Inker 19 (Used in 2020) from collection of 60...about to modify to version 3 so will be archived! 2. PB 19 Inker pattern (2020) 3. PB 26 Distressed Pattern (6) Blue 4. PB 26 Distressed Eraser (4) Orange 5. PB 26 Distressed Paint (4) Green 6. PB 19 Inker Texture (2022) 7. List update Project Brush 09 Updated to Version 2 Added 'INK' version (Shift in dynamics!) Project Brush 26 Added 90 additional brushes in 3 sets (Eraser | Paint | Pattern). 2 ink sets 1 painting set. Essentially texture painters with an erase function to add variation. Having completed the framework for the Project Brush sets! (25 Brush sets) Updated the poster with 5 new thumbnails and a new size (bit difficult to fit in A1!) -

Hi The textures are just vector objects drawn using the pen tool but arranged to repeat using symbols to test the structure of patterns. Basically, they are just patterns arranged in a layer stack Symbol > Rectangle > Pattern Objects (vector) then repeat for complexity. It is time consuming but worth the effort. Once you have the pattern it can be used for styles and brush base textures. You do need to plant for this. I tend to create Style Patterns larger (Size and Dpi). Work backwards to produce the base textures.. You will need to create a template page using a 'cross' shaped grid with a single Symbol to test the layouts I put together some instructions on how to generate the patterns some time ago....check it out here! Hi As 'vector' brushes follow a path the height (Y) should really be less than the width (X)... I don't believe I have ever created a square nozzle for 'Vector' Brushes... Following some ancient tutorials would leave you to believe that the ideal size was 2000 x height. Where height was partially dependant on the nozzle you are attempting to build. Personally, after a lot of practice you can get away with much less...I create a lot of vector brushes at 1000 x 300px max but.... NB 1. You can use the export options (0.5x) to make smaller nozzles!.. They can work just as well! 2. Design the brush image to be slightly smaller than the output size. i.e leave an empty border...This will help you control the 'Offsets'. giving you a bit more blank space to play around with
