  1. Thanks for the response, although I'm a graphic designer i worked a couple of years in IT maintaining and administrating workgroups in a couple of companies and know what you're saying. My windows 10 is working stable enough with all my software (graphic design, 3d modeling, rendering, game engines) that i wont be reinstalling unless it breaks for some reason. The msix policy from a customer point of view seems exclusive and its not ok. Please Team, consider exe or msi Thanks
  2. I don't have windows app installer and no other associated program to install MISX, the file is not recognized. Windows is 21H2. Thank you!
  3. Hey guys, been an Affinity user since the beginning (jumped ship from adobe and NEVER looked back)... I have removed lots of windows features including the app installer and cant install V2. Opened the .msix with 7zip and extracted the files. Designer asked me for my registration and everything looks fine, but i put them in 'Program Files' and they cant find each other ('edit in Photo...' is greyed out). If i put them in the supposed install location would they see each other? and where exactly does the installer places the folders, files, exes, etc? I too think that you should consider exe (or maybe both)... this .msix thing is not cool Thanks!
  4. Just came by to say thanks to Krakerman, this is awesome!
  5. Hey thanks, i'm not frustrated at all, just curious what's in the bonus package
  6. Hey guys, i havent read the full topic. If there is already a solution, sorry for posting. All the links on the welcome screen work and open the corresponding websites, but no offer
  7. Thanks Aammppaa, i see now... the typing and key operations work when the font drop down menu is open, when its closed the keys revert to moving the object (even if the mouse is still over the menu), thats actually cool! cheers
  8. Hey guys, i'm using 15143, so if this has been fixed in a beta, i apologize. - Typing the font name works for a couple of characters, then chugs and slows and stops working. - Browsing the fonts works only with the mouse wheel, not with the arrow keys. (please include it, if its not a big task) Thanks again! Using and loving Designer very much!
  9. Thanks a lot, that did the trick! [nesting the text into the rectangle then recreating the slice]
  10. Hey guys, i was exploring the export persona today and stumbled upon this. When i export the entire page everything is fine, but when exporting slices (batch or one by one) there is no text. Please see the attached image. Is this a setting i need to change or something else? Thanks in advance!
  11. Thanks, checked on win 7 and it doesn't work either!
  12. Thanks, right not i'm trying it on windows 10 and typing into the font name isn't working at all (it might be the computers fault). Later i'll try on windows 7 at home (latest betas in both places). Thanks and have a great day!
  13. Hey guys, what do you think about adding a method of selecting fonts similar to Photoshop or Flash. - Typing the letters from the font name narrows the search options (not only the first letter). - Browsing the fonts by UP and DOWN arrow keys. Thanks in advance!
  14. Hey thanks a lot for the reply! That sucks though, is there something on the roadmap for such a feature? For example in Ps you type a letter or a couple, then you can browse with the up/down arrows. Thanks.
  15. Hey guys, just a general question: how can i type the name of the font to find it [and select it] in the character panel? Thanks!
  16. Hey guys, thank you for the amazing work! I haven't been excited about a design software since 2004. I feel like a kid again exploring Affinity Designer and experimenting with all the stuff... Thank you! There is a feature in Macromedia Flash (yes you're reading right) called Convert Lines To Fills and it goes something like this... Is there something similar in Designer, or a different approach? Thanks again and all the luck!
