Hi:
I've spent a lot of time searching, but haven't found any answers, so here goes . . .
In Affinity Photo, I've copied multiple images to the artboard (for example, screen captures or .PNG files placed onto the artboard), and I want to remove the white backgrounds on some of these pasted/placed images to make them transparent. I don't want to use "Erase White Paper" because it removes white values from a solid color object and makes it translucent when placed over a solid dark background, so I use the Selection Brush tool instead to select the white background areas on a selected image on the artboard.
So I select the object, then select the Selection Brush tool to select the white areas. At this point, the dashed lines surround the white background areas like they should. However, when I hit the delete key, instead of deleting the selected white areas, the entire selected object is deleted, leaving the dashed masked-off areas in place, but with no more image since it's deleted.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Eric
