Looks great but... When I put either of these into the Distortion > Equation, do nothing. The text of the equation turns red though. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong, thanks

I have a background that is actually a photo of a WWI brass shell casing. I want to have text so that it looks like it is wrapping around the front of the cylinder. I have given the text a gradient that helps it fits in with the lighting. I have tried playing with perspective toll, but it seems too drastic given that the wrap is only taking up about 25% of the circumference. Also I haven't found how to make it affect left and right but leave the centre alone. Can anyone please provide some tips on how to make this more realistic. The example has just the gradient, no attempts at perspective yet. logo wrapped around a cylinder.afdesign Thanks!

maybe I'm doing this wrong, but I have a mask in place to remove part of a curve, but there is a kind of outline showing. My understanding is that the white rectangle, as a child of the black shape, should be masking it completely, yet there are faint outlines of the black shape. Can anyone help please? Thanks

I need to create a very simple logo by interweaving two letters which were text converted to curves. So I have the two letters and I need them to look like this (To mock that up I duplicated the C and removed bits) however this may not work well as it seems to be a clunky way to do it I may need to add a stroke tone or the other or both I'm sure there is a simple method staring me in the face, can anyone please help?

I want to type some text or create a shape that then cuts out a window in the (shape or image) layer below So for example: My entire background is a rectangle shape with a gradient fill. In the layer above I have another rectangle shape that has a black fill. In the layer above that I have some text (or a shape) that reveals the gradient shape though the black shape By using erase as a blend mode this does what I want, except that it works on all layers, not just the one directly below.

Bit late to answer this but thanks that is a good tip for when you want to work on a whole score or page. Part of the problem though is for smaller excerpts I'm doing, ie Musical exercises. In this case logic has a camera tool that sdefines a selection of part of the page and exports that to PDF. This is what I mostly want to use, that will only export to PDF. However your method will be an interim workaround as I can edit the bits I want in Designer. An alternative method I found was to export the PDF from Logic, open in Preview and then export to PNG.

Sadly it didn't find the image, noe could I find it on the site itself where I had bought it. It was vectoriser.io I had used, but tried a much reduced image size to upload, and increased the Min area parameter, solved the problem thanks! The downloaded vector now has about 12 nodes in all and curves are fine.

Thanks that would be great but can I PM it to you as the original file was stock image that could have licence issues re: the original artwork. At the time I paid for the minimum license and could have paid more for the vector but sadly I didn't. Now I cannot actually find it or I would just go the easy route and pay for the vector.

Very much a beginner here. I have a vector that was converted from an image using an online conversion tool It looks fine until I enlarge it. It has ended up with many many nodes and a slightly jagged curves. So what I'd like to do is remove the unnecessary nodes and smooth out the wrinkles so the basic curve remains. Can anyone please tell me how I'd go about this., ideally in a quick way rather than deleting most of the nodes one by one and hoping for the best. Thanks
