I was about to post this same bug:

When using the Transparency Tool on rastered objects/layers, then hitting UNDO, throws an Unhandled Exception as seen in the attached image. Reproduced in 2 computers, one with Windows 7 the other with Windows 8.1, and in different versions of the Affinity Designer Beta, even in the RC1.

Hello again. This time I want to provide another round of suggetions for Affinity Designer Pixel Persona or for Affinity Photo for Windows:

Important:

- Clonning stamp/healing tool
- Save selections for later use
- Twist/Warp objects and textfields (like to fit a label in a bottle)
-  Content aware (to fill empty spaces with pixels from an image)
-  Effects (liquify, crystalize, clouds, etc.)
- Create an editable shape from a selection and save the shapes
- Dotted stroke style
- Animator Persona (GIF)
- Distort and Skew Tools
- Save document settings (width, height, paper format, resolution, color mode)

Optional:

- 3D Persona (import and edit 3D models, .collada specifically from Blender)
- Knife tool to cut shapes in a half
-  Numeric stepper or slider for the font size box
- Polygonal Lasso/Selection Tool
- Channels (R,G,B,Alpha, and delete/duplicate channels and making selections from them)

I'm ready to purchase both AD and AP for Windows when they are released! 
 

A few days back I was using Affinity Designer (Windows), designing a logo and modifying a pre-existing font to suit my needs when it hit me. I wanted to design my own font/fonts!
 
I searched the web to find a program that might be good for this, but all the programs on the market didn't look too amazing. The interfaces looked clumsy, unappealing and even though I am sure that they are good, I felt as if they were limited and always needed a separate program to complement them for their lack in one area or another. In most of the videos and tutorials I watched, people tended to use Adobe Illustrator to make the letters and then import the paths into the font editor.
 
So I thought to myself; "What if Affinity Designer would have a font editor built into it, or a stand-alone software that would have the amazing interface of Affinity Designer and its ease of use?".
 
So my suggestion is, that it would be AMAZING to have/buy an extension for Affinity Designer to be able to edit and export fonts! I do know that it is not "just" programming an extension/add-on of that sort to Affinity, but I can't imagine it being too difficult either. I mean you have all the tools that are needed for the job and the extra "specific" tools for font editing could perhaps fit under a new persona in the upper left? A font persona. That would make Affinity even more of a killer software!
 
It would be nice if you guys considered adding this. I mean I really like Affinity Designer and I will most likely buy it on release, but I would also love to buy a font editor from you since I know that you would make it easy and fun to work with!

Would it be possible to please let us Alt-Drag any Layer, Layer Groups or multiple Layers in the Layer Panel to Duplicate? It is the easiest way to Duplicate a Layer without altering position but it's neither in Affinity Designer nor Affinity Photo.

Would love automation/scripting/actions and ability to create all these (perhaps as "plugins") in a common scripting language like JavaScript (even allowing a "simple" mode similar to recording actions in Photoshop).
 
For workflows which are repetitive it would be great to automate common actions as well as support third-party plugins which allows sharing common workflows, extend basic functionality, etc.
 
Programs like Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketch and even something like Unity3D support this, and a cottage industry of helpful third-party plugins exist to extend the features and usability of apps beyond the capabilities of the core dev team.
 
I think for Sketch it is a huge draw-card for users to automatically do things like create interactive mockups, export multiple files/sizes at a click of a button, and I would imagine that it would open up some great community-driven potential for Affinity's range of products (especially for Affinity Publisher, which I'm really looking forward to playing with, being a long-time sufferer of InDesign since Adobe shelved Freehand).

It would be a huge advantage if we could search fonts not only by a first letter. It's achievable if the font selector will be replaced by an autocomplete solution like: 
 
 

It would make drawing straight lines for design work much easier.

Hello. Thanks for providing us so great program that frees us from the greedy suscription based model of the competitor.
I'm very satisfied and already made a job for a client today.

I want to suggest some programs that you should consider:

1- Affinity Publisher (InDesign, Microsoft Publisher)
2- Affinity Animator (Video Editing and Animator, After Effects)

These programs are so needed and we will be completely free!

If you happen to consider just 1 of them, please be the Animator/Video Editing.

Back in the days of Freehand v1 we had to work out measurements by drawing rectangles around the parts of a design we needed to measure, noting the rectangle's width or height, deleting the rectangle and then doing whatever using the dimension. T'was clumsy and time consuming, but then we got Illustrator 88 with – happy happy, joy joy – the measure tool. It seems kind of weird having to go back a quarter of a century in AD.
 
(The other Great Leap Forward for accurate work in Illy 88 was the average point command, but that's a whole nother issue).

Affinity Designer, Photo, Publisher &... may I suggest Affinity Video, too?  ;)

Automator is too limited. It only allows for (glorified) macros.
We need a true scripting language (javascrip, python, applescript, etc) to allow the creation of new commands and tools.
Personally, I would prefer python or javascript :)
