Trying to clean up a VueScan dng file of an old photo. Tried dust & scratches first, but had no visible effect, so tried live filter (median blur) and this item was greyed out. Oh, I also exported it as a .tif, with the same results. Any help appreciated. B.

Thanks to all who responded. I created a new account using my gmail password and successfully got all programs downloaded and launched (Mac). Will try to launch IPad versions later. please let me know if this will bring grief later.

I was unable to download the software without creating an affinity store account, the one shown in the screenshot. I’m thinking I will just abandon this effort, and create a new (fourth) account using my gmail address, and hopefully get this sorted before I make the final purchase - using the email address shown. That email address is 20+ years old. Spam can’t touch it

I downloaded the thirty day trial using this email address (after creating an account), but get the error shown. I have two other accounts - all with the email address shown - LevelB and fred_sloan. No idea how to sort this out - Thanks!

1.7.0.124 (and .123) have a new tone map feature - Clamp to SDR. I could not find it in help file, google, etc. Wondering what it does - or if this is a place holder for new functionality that is on the way. Thanks! B.

I saw this bug as well. My workaround was to use shadows/highlights filter, and place brightness/contrast below that. I do not see this bug on every image. Thanks, B.

Here are my specs:

Sometimes when I wait a minute or so the histogram will 'snap' back to life, responding as it should. But not always. These screenshots were taken about ten minutes after entering the Tone Map Persona. Let me know if the attached files are too closely cropped - the thumbnails are missing the histogram. Update: As I was typing this, the histogram finally came around - not sure if this is a bug, or if the software has a harder time with some photos than others. Any help or enlightenment appreciated! B.

Did some more checking - it appears that something else may be happening. HDR Merge/Tone Map works as expected - unless Noise Reduction is selected. The default 40% noise reduction does not seem to work properly, and trying to then use the live denoise filter gives poor results. Maybe this is an edge condition - these are pretty noisy pics, shot as I was checking out a new filter. Hoping you have a great holiday season! Noticed that I was getting very noisy results with HDR Merge/Tone Map/Noise Reduction. This was greatly improved by doing the HDR Merge with Noise Reduction and Tone Mapping turned off. Noise Reduction then performed as expected. However, the noise returned when I performed Tone Mapping. I can post the photos if that helps (they are low-light and pretty noisy to begin with). Just to add to this - I use a Panasonic zs100, the US version of this camera. When AP is updated (or the bug is fixed), will my lens be recognized? Really been looking forward to this. Thanks - love the software. B.

I am trying to back up my .afphoto files to Amazon Drive, but get an "Account over quota" error message. My .jpg and RAW files are fine. I am guessing this is because these files are not recognized as photos. So I have two questions: 1. Is Serif reaching out to Amazon to get .afphoto files recognized as photos? or failing that, 2. What are the best paid cloud services for backing up large amounts of photo data? Thanks!

Prior to creating a new Exposure Stack or HDR Merge, is it necessary to remove noise, and then save in a lossless format such as .tiff? Thanks!
