  1. I received this file from a graphic designer, so it sounds like I need to ask him for the original file so I can make edits? Thank you for the replies.
  2. Hi, I am relatively new to Affinity Designer. I was sent a .tiff file of a design and would like to edit the design. I cannot access or separate the layers to edit nor is there anything to 'ungroup'. As far as I can tell, it looks like the file is unlocked. Is it possible it was flattened before being sent to me, and if so how would I confirm this? Ultimately I need to be able to edit the design so please do you have any suggestions for ungrouping or separating layers or 'unflattening'? thank you, Escondido
  3. Here is a screenshot of the export settings. please let me know if correct. thank you!
  4. No, I'm not changing any options (that I"m aware of). I'm using version 1.4.2 - not sure this matters? I"ve attached a screenshot of settings when I export for you to review. I'm aware this is so basic for you, yet I appreciate the help and teaching here.
  5. Hi Lee, Thanks for your help. I've attached the file for you to check my document settings. (I'd appreciate if you would delete the file after problem is solved.) I misspoke earlier. The problem occurred when I tried to export to jpeg. The file 'shrunk' to 13" x 8" and 96 resolution, 1280 px x 795 px The acceptable files I need to be able to export to are JPEG, TIFF and PDF. I wold greatly appreciate your help figuring out how to correctly export in these file formats. thankyou! SC COLOR REPEAT2 58x36-America -Flag_of_the_United_States.afdesign
  6. Hi, I'm new to Affinity Designer - I've downloaded the free trial and am having success with learning the program. My problem is when I try to export my file to .pdf or .tiff I lose the document settings. I customized my document to be 58" x 36" at 300 dpi. When I export it changes to 96 dpi and 13" x 8" size. It was suggested to me I download Adobe Illustrator to try to convert the file at the correct, original settings. I've tried Illustrator and gave up after a few days' trial as it was not nearly as intuitive for a beginner as AFD, however it is essential for my work to find an app that I can export correctly to my printer. Would you kindly walk me through the steps. thank you for the help!
