This is in addition to post I just made about Clip to Canvas...Forgot to mention - the Clip to Canvas post I just made works on V1 and V2. I'm on a Mac.

You probably already know this by now but - Go to... View>View Mode>Uncheck Clip to Canvas It's similar to the Preview Mode of Publisher - I used to go to Publisher, activate Preview Mode and go back to Designer - that doesn't appear to work any more - BUT in Designer "UNcheck clip to Canvas" is it - NO changing back to other programs. I love this option as well - use it all the time - Affinity also has a keyboard shortcut worked in that could cause you to turn it off/on without knowing it - BACKWARDS SLASH is keyboard shortcut. You all probably know this - but I am a HUGE fan of being able to see what's "out there" beyond my canvas.

I have tried every video I could find online to change color of an image in Affinity Photo with NO success. Let's say change a blue car to red - or a orange sweater to purple, etc. I tried HSL adj - color replacement brush, masks - with no success. In this case I have a pic of a white 6-panel door and would like to change its color to RGB 178/172/150 - with of course keeping the original details, shadowing etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated - I, obviously am missing something key. I am on a MAC, PHOTO V2 (2.0.4.326)

Thank you - that'll work too! I did just try it - V2 crashed in the process - maybe just a fluke. I did forget you can change and replace styles!

Is there a way to "Delete AND Replace With xx" a style sheet in one step? Like if you have some text presently in Text Style 1 and Text Styles 2 - and want to just delete Style 1 while replacing all the text applied with Style 1 to go to Style 2 automatically (as is possible in programs like Quark). WITHOUT having to go thru and apply all the text you want to change to Text Style 2 manually. Sorry if i posted it in wrong place - I find choosing the forum to be unclear (to my feeble mind anyways).

For some reason I am unable to add more pages than the document is at the time (in V1 or V2) MEANING, if I have a 2 page file - I can not add more than 2 pages to it - either at end or beginning.... if I have a 12 page file, I can not add more than 12 pages to it.. and so on.... UNLESS I am missing something obvious?!?!

I am having SAME issues in V2 - am unsure if it was ever okay in V1 for me - as I did not check. BUT, if I go to draw a line in publisher on Page 2 of a file - it draws it in at a y coordinate based off of page 1. so, if file was 11" (or 66 picas) - page 2 adds on the height of page 1 - so its y coordinates are not correct.

I'll retry to add a custom shortcut - I had one already when I found it did not work - so I deleted it - I'll retry again!

Not sure - but I was on Monterey with V1 - also, if I try my V1 now - it works - just not on V2.

Is it possible to change background color of Picture Frame Rectangle with a SILOED placed tiff? I am used to being able to do it in programs like Quark - where if you placed a SILOED image in a picture box (rectangle) - then you could make the background color of that box (rectangle) a color - let's say red. When I made the FILL of the box red it did not show up red (tiff is siloed with transparent background). I tried something else then.... I then converted the box/rectangle to curves - thinking perhaps that would work - but did not. Any suggestions, other than to put another box behind it with the background color of red?

thank you but I had actually already tried to enter twice - but it did not work. This was my favorite way to get to a page - especially with a keyboard shortcut (I am a fan of shortcuts). It DID work in V1 - hopefully it gets fixed - VERY handy for me. All the other "Page" functions in that dropdown still work (First Page, Previous Page, Next Page, Last Page - but not the Go to Page). I like to keep both hands on keyboard - use keyboard shortcuts - whenever I can - I prefer not having to point/click on something if I can do it by keyboard - Just my way of doing things that I have become accustomed to love! 🙂

The "Go to Page" feature in publisher V2 is not working (from drop down Menu.... Document~Go to Page) - you can pick the page - I hit enter - didn't work (just stayed on page it was on) - thought if I used the OK button in program it may work (although enter should work) that did not help - I can't get it to work for anything. I had a keyboard shortcut - deleted that - then retried - just can not get it work. It is a handy tool to use and do miss it working. Perhaps I am missing something, any suggestion? I am on Mac OS 12.6.2 Publisher 2.0.3 I have no extra hardware - this used to work on V1. My hardware acceleration was ON - I tried switching it off - no change - still does not work. Thank you - I hope this can be fixed!! (or is it just me?)

Thank you Laurent - I did not have a master page set up in this file - so that could be it - It is VERY handy for multiple pages for sure - hope it gets fixed! It always did work for me on Mac V1 - but not for V2. The dialog box pops up - but won't work! PERHAPS A GLITCH ???

I'm taking the time to sort through some differences - and I have absolutely NO complaints. I was finding V1 to be somewhat glitchy before - now I realize Serif's attention was to work on and release V2. MUCH appreciated for making such a fine suite of tools for us.

OOPS, I mis-spoke - and I felt comfortable with knowing, YES, I can simply go back to using V1 at any time if I want - cause if worse came to worse, I can copy info from a V2 file and paste to a V1 file.

SO FAR I have had no problems with V2 - all 3 programs have exceeded their V1 predecessors for me. I usually do not jump on a new version for glitchy reasons - but I did want the promo deal - and I felt comfortable with knowing, YES, I can simply go back to using V1 at any time if I want - cause if worse came to worse, I can copy info from a V1 file to a V2 file. SO, I did not personally feel trapped in to an upgrade I could not work around - stay with v1 for awhile then - set up your computer to open up all affinity programs in V1, instead of V2 for awhile. $30 for an awesome program was worth it to me.

For tools that are hard to see in V2 - In one of the programs, click on View, Customize Tools - Add ANY tool to the tool bar, click okay - and they all went back to wonderful viewing. ALSO in Program Preferences I found it VERY handy to make UI Text larger - played with contrast and dartboard color - For me, it all turned out AWESOME and BETTER than V1. P.S. Once I added that tool in one of my Affinity Programs, the tool bar was better in all 3 programs.

IF you had trouble ordering or with license, could it be that you are not in the U.K. and your CC denied the out of country purchase? That happened to me - was alerted by CC company about denial - called them to approve - redid purchase and it all went through - got a download link and it all went SUPER smoothly. (I'm on a Mac computer 12.6.1). I'm am just starting to work my way through the nw programs - taking my time - some things moved - but from what I have tinkered with - IT IS AWESOME. I was noticing glitchy behavior with V1 - probably cause Affinity was so busy getting V2 read to launch. AWESOME - AWESOME - AWESOME so far. IF you are having trouble with purchase or license - check the CC company thing. ONE QUESTION THOUGH..... I can not import assets from V1 to V2 - I assumed that is not a do-able thing???

I'm also not sure what TAGGED text is or how to do it
