  1. Thank you for the replies guys! I think you are definitely onto something, pauls! I realize that if I change the file type and try to open the "More..." dialog while it is calculating the Estimated File Size, the "More..." dialog that appears is that of the previous file type. I uploaded a screen capture on an unlisted youtube video so that I can give you a better idea of what is happening: https://youtu.be/8mgc6oRmefI On the vid: At around 0:21, when choosing PSD, I leave the "More..." dialog open for a few more seconds and it eventually switches to PSD, probably because the file size has been calculated. Although it seems that, closing the "More..." dialog - even if you change nothing - triggers the file size calculation process anew. At around 0:32, choosing SVG, the size is calculated immediately, so the "More..." dialog switches immediately to SVG. Thank you for your time!
  2. Hey Affinity Team, I have noticed a couple of glitches on the Export Settings dialog box. I can't seem to able to create and save a preset, regardless of the file type and settings. After changing the settings of a current preset and going to "manage presets > create", the preset is not saved. The application has even crashed a few times at this point (the error reports have been sent automatically, of course). If you choose a certain file type and open its "More..." dialog and then go to a different file type and open its "More..." dialog, there are visible seconds of "lag" while the program switches between the two file type settings. Sometimes, the dialog doesn't even switch to the new file type you chose and it reverts back to the previous one. The user can remedy this by changing the file type from the "file format" drop down menu, but, all in all, this is an abnormal behavior. That's all I have come up with for now. Like always, thanks for your time and efforts.
  3. Dear Affinity Team and Users, I am trying to figure out if there is a way to move/copy layer effects from one layer to another. There's no such option when right clicking on a layer and I've tried CTRL+click+drag, as well as ALT+click+drag, to no avail. Is there something that I am missing? Is there a smarter way to do this, than how I am trying to, or should I register it as a feature request? Thank you for your time!
  4. Absolutely loving Affinity Designer on Windows.

  5. Thank you both for the quick replies and sorry if I'm cluttering the forum with more of the same. Is there a feature / bug tracker where one can see the elements that you are already aware of? Indeed, any kind of subtle indication that "the message has been received" by the application, would make a great difference. As I said on my original post, the fact that the program can open files and still do other operations is a laud to its multi-tasking capabilities, so any visual feedback should make the user think "ok, I can do something else while this file is opening". Again, I cannot stress enough how happy I am with Affinity Designer. It is already improving my workflow and it has barely been two days!
  6. I just began checking out the Windows beta and it is love at first sight. I'm ridiculously excited that this amazing piece of software is available for Windows as well. The first thing I tried was opening various big files, to see how the program handles them. The loading times are great, but, while the file is loading, there is no visual feedback on the process. Also, during that time, the menus are still operational; the program doesn't hang, which, per se, is an amazing thing. The problem is that, with the lack of any kind of progress bar on the file opening process, this may actually give the impression to the user that the command to open the file didn't even go through. I realize that this is something that mainly affects people with older computers, dealing with huge files, but I'm sure I am not alone. There are a few topics asking the same or something similar in the "features request" subforum, but I wanted to let the developers know that this is definitely something important on Windows as well. Keep up the amazing work!
