I've checked your information and now I'm sure that palette's boxes dont work in List Appearance. When I disable List all works fine.

There is a problem with filling colour to object from palette, even default palette (like Colours). To reproduce this issue, follow steps below: 1. Draw an object (i.e. rectangle) 2. Select colour from palette to change fill colour 3. Doesn't work I'm rolling back to previous version. You do the great work with Affinity Designer! Have a nice day :)
