    Hi vighmate,
    Welcome to Affinity Forums :)
    Select both objects, change to the Node Tool, then on the context toolbar make sure you have the second and third icons from the Snap section enabled. Drag a marquee around all the nodes of the object you want to move, then click and drag one of them over the nodes of the other shape. All nodes of the object you are dragging will snap to the nodes of the other shape.

    Draw the object. By default, the rotation handle on the bounding box rotates around the object center. Click on the show rotation center widget in the tool bar across the top, and move the rotation center to wherever you want, either in the object, outside it, or snapped to its own or other object vertices. The use the rotate handle. Holding down shift will constrain the rotations to 15 degree increments.
