Not victim blaming. Just seeing something going wrong for which there seems no obvious fix.
Then an OP continuing (accidentally or not) to try the same operation more than is necessary to confirm the problem under some misapprehension that doing the same thing will eventually get a different outcome!
Until there is an answer do the job a different way. Blaming - no. Logic -yes.
 

If any of my external drives are not reachable (for whatever reason) and with the exception of all cloud stuff, then I do not save to them.
How do I know there are not reachable?  They do not appear on my display-so I check.
Glitches have been part of my workflow for 30+ years. It does not matter whose software you are using. It is your business/money. Do what is necessary to safeguard your work to the maximum of your ability because it is you that has to field the complaints, redo the work and explain to the bank manager why all the earnings just went 'poof'.
My office system was not expensive because it saved me a lot over the years. Now retired I don't see any real reason to recommend anything newton those still at it.
Use 'raids', at least two set ups. One on site permanently and the other removable (to take with you). Ensure they are big enough, fast enough and have historically reliable reports.
Permanently on, backed up to simultaneously.
When you have a problem STOP! Find the problem and fix it. If you cannot do that and your tech just whistles. Change your kit and count yourself lucky that it is only money and nothing terminal.🦈

Is it possible to add Fuji Film Simulations as a plugin to AF Photo?
My online research says yes, but I cannot follow the suggested method and it comes from a blog rather than a known company website.
I recognise this mayn't be the first time this has been asked but a search has not revealed it.

With that in mind when I have opened a number of images in AF how do I go about using Batch Processes on them? The ADD button opens the 'Finder' but does not show the files already open in AF.
 
I realise I can choose from the finder by using the file names shown in AF but this seems counterintuitive and convoluted when my chosen images are already open IN AF.
 
I regularly want to export jpg (small and basic) for my wife's use on the internet and my own postings and basic batch/macros are all that is needed.
 
This oddity is my only question on this process.

The forums are not "mine" and I will need to run this by other interested parties. I hope they agree with us.
Even if they don't get split, I am willing to "tag" all the posts here, as long as the filter by "forum and tag" works well (i need to check). So seeing only the ones you are interested in should be easier either way

Working for a printed output is different to backlit screens/web etc.
The image produced in a digital studio/darkroom can and mostly is wrong until it is printed.
Personally I over sharpen for web posting and this has been commented on, then when I have not done so the image has been 'critiqued' as soft. Go figure - I believe is the American response to this circumstance.
My older inkjet prints are softer than I would like now but pleased the customer at the time. It is quite an expensive step but trial prints sent by mail for approval often save embarrasment.
Oh as an aside. If your image is what you consider art then I think it is more a like/don't like response required and a possible reason.
Personally my images drift towards the art side and away from the reportage or correct record of the subject so critiques no longer concern me. If I ask about a specific part or feel of the image it is usually to try and find a method that will give a closer representation of my intent (skill set improvement).
Like/don't like good. Tell me what I have done 'wrong' NAH!. You have no concept of what I was trying to do - unless I have told ya!.
Oh yer. Sellotape over the the end of a toilet roll was my first wedding filter. The bride did laugh (luckily) but also liked the result. That was one 40 years ago Hmmmm best forgotten.

from Affinity's perspective you should have no issues using dual monitors while using the app in separated mode

You want the image you will be editing on the 2nd monitor and all the palettes on the first Eizo correct?
I'll be honest, it has been years since I used dual monitors so that is several Operating Systems back but it worked with the caveat that at times various programs would 'forget' where the various windows were supposed to go. The Mac OS System Preferences was quite useful in setting it up, I got used to keeping it open all the time for maintaining the orientation. One of the hassles I had was just getting used to the cursor changing size as it crossed the border, I would lose sight of it.

A Chinese Crested called Wizz, drawn in Affinity Designer as a tribute for a friend (Wizz passed in December last year). All vector apart from the pixel cloud brushes which came from the xresch clouds and smoke collection on the Affinity Store.

Yes. But it's actually more improvised than thinking about what I make out of this 'weird' tree shaped by the wind. Maybe it's similar to the part of humans who just use nature and do not respect it properly.

Thanks for sharing it with us. Impressive work! 
Glad to see examples of commercial work being produced with Affinity apps.

Development weren't keen on making them open together from the View > Studio menu however, they have agreed to look at adding Library to the 'Left Studio' as currently only Macro is set to open.
So once this has been implemented, you will have to just go to View > Studio > Enable Left Studio and both will be open. As long as that option is left enabled, both Macro and Library will open as default for any new projects.
