  1. I am wondering how Affinity handles high resolution images, particularly those that are scaled? Normally in QuarkXpress and Indesign one would place a high resolution image, scale it and prior to exporting to high resolution PDF replace the image (if the desired resolution was too low due to scaling etc) with a version that is 300 dpi at 100% I assume this is still the case with Affinity? If not, could someone please shed some light on the best practices for using high resolution images with the intention of obtaining a high quality PDF for print production. Thank you.
  2. Opening and editing PDF's is a must for me.
  3. This is why I love Xara, It's so easy to make global changes to a particular colour.
  4. Agree about Adobe. Cancelled my subscription back in May of this year. Still have CS3 running on Mavericks and have switched back to QuarkXpress which is now at version 10.
  5. Hello all, My name is Peter Loader. I'm a graphic designer and use Mac as my preferred design platform. I have been using Idraw as a replacement for Adobe Illustrator and Pixelmator as a replacement for Photoshop. Since learning of Affinity Designer and downloading the beta I have been greatly impressed by this application. As a long time user of Corel Xara in my PC days I think Affinity is on the right track to become my Illustration program of choice!
