  1. I've been encountering a recurring issue with RAW development, but the issue happens inconsistently and seemingly at random. After loading a RAW file, I make some of the color and lighting adjustments I want to make to the file. But then I click "develop" and the edits are not preserved, leaving me with a developed image without any of the RAW edits I made. I use the same process for developing images every time, but the results have been inconsistent. Perhaps I'm experiencing a PEBCAK problem, but I'm not sure what exactly I would be doing wrong that causes inconsistent development results.
  2. I have a project in which I need a star shape with several points—easy. But I also need the points of the star to “wave” like sun rays. I know I can convert to curves and individually add nodes to each of the points, and then “bend” the lines to create the wavy rays. I want to know if there’s a way to create those rays universally—in other words, editing one star point edits every star point. Is this possible?
  3. Follow this link to see a video that demonstrates this sugggested feature visually. This would be a brush feature adjustment that is a bit more “free” and intuitive than our current ability to adjusted vector lines with the pressure curve. This tool would allow us to grab our vector lines and push and pull them from any point on the individual vector without affecting any of the other vectors in the document. After seeing Kyle Webster working in this way in Adobe Animate, I thought, “Surely we could have a tool like this in Designer that could be even better.”
  4. Basically what the title says- pattern stamp tool request similar to photoshop, as an extension of the clone stamp tool concept. Texture samples could be applied to the pattern stamp, which can then be used as an overlay brush or something. I would also like for the joint ability to sample from images to create new patterns and textures to turn into brushes.
  5. I would like the ability to control opacity from within the pencil tool— like an rgba set up. I would also like to be able to set the tool as a multiply (or other) type to quickly layer shapes and colors. As of writing I’m not sure if this is possible without going into the layer menu to adjust opacity and layer types.
  6. I've noticed that when I increase my brush size to fill a canvas (aiming to create textured backgrounds prior to creating my work), there is a severe lag when I make strokes. Often times, when I make several passes with a large brush, I'm left waiting for AP to catch up. FYI, I have a 1 TB SSD & 16 GB of RAM, and an i5 processor on a mid-2012 Macbook Pro. Idk if that information will help in diagnosing the problem or not. Is there any way to tinker with the performance setting to resolve this issue, while still maintaining hi-res quality of the brushes? Thanks.
  7. I recently downloaded an .abr brush pack created by Andrea Koroveshi (http://andikoroveshi.blogspot.al/). However, I do not use PS (I don't want to sell my soul when there are good, and potentially better options, such as Affinity Photo & Designer). Based on my limited understanding, PS brushes imported into AP do not fully transfer textures. Rather, you only get the brush "tip" or "nozzle." I was curious as to whether anyone has a work-around for this issue. I have pretty much all the AP & AD brushes created by Paolo Limoncelli (which are excellent, btw), but I really want to make use of the many wonderful brushes available from other sources (such as Andrea Koroveshi & Kyle's Brushes). I've discovered that the PS brushes I import act more like "stamps" as opposed to brushes. While I'm sure tinkering with the settings will help- I'm not sure where to really begin, so any advice I can get would be great. Thanks!
  8. I am interested in scanning high resolution copies of traditional sketches and using AP to color the sketch. There are artists who do this in Ps...but I'm not sure how to do it in AP. I want to maintain the paper & pencil texture, but be able to paint on the image as well. I'm fairly new to the digital painting world, so I'm not sure whether this is called a "mask" or if that is something else entirely. Some help with this would be great.
