For V1 on mac it was requested years ago to get the default mac feature that displays the file path with a right click on a document's name in the title bar or tab. I don't know if it was implemented in V2.

    Yeah, I'm using V1. Thanks

Since Affinity Photo 2 I only use linked RAW files. If you don't make any changes that require a pixel layer (stick to layer filters and masks) the linked file is usually less than 1MB. There is a small, sidecar XMP file. An equivalent embedded RAW file can be 200MB or more. If I need to make destructive changes I tend to save as jpg, unless I have done something long and complicated that I may wish to modify, in which case I have the odd embedded RAW afphoto file. This way I keep my original RAW files, which are usually around 25MB, can see most changes in a small linked file, with a small number of bigger files (or possibly jpegs) for more complex work.

Is this a version 2 feature? It sounds similar to RawTherapee where the settings are saved in a sidecar file.

  3. I'm struggling with AP with adjusting individual layers. I have a photo of a car where I want to try showing different coloured wheels so I trace the wheels and paste into new layers. When I try to adjust the exposure of the wheel layers it changes the exposure for the whole picture - not helpful. So I go to reselect to isolate a wheel and apply adjustment and it works, just the wheel is changed. But when I select next wheel layer and go to Reselect it reselects the wheel I've just altered! So how do I tell it to reselect the last selection of the layer I'm currently working in? I know in Photoshop it remembers the selection from the layer you are working in.

  4. Thanks, changing the RAW engine to Apple Core has improved the matter a lot, but still a few white pixels hanging around. However, now I also have a couple of blue line artefacts - see attached picture. I suspect it's Sony's aggressive lossy RAW compression that is the culprit, but other raw engines don't have this issue.

Interestingly when I open a Fuji RAF files it doesn't like it at all! See second attachment. I don't remember having these issues before.
