  1. Okay people. I am on a deadline and I have to have this lovely landscape fit the standard printing size. In this case a 5x7. I followed the cropping for 5x7 and I have all of this empty space around it. Just tell me how to fix it on a mac using mac commands. Only 2 landscapes in the series and this one is driving me up a tree
  2. Hi there. I think you covered this in the Udemey series but I forgot how to batch process for size. What do you do if s couple come out weird because they don't match the export size you selected.

Hi kagelb. Batch processing will just do exactly the same thing to a series of files. If you have a couple of files that don't match the export size you set for the others then I'd suggest you export them out separately to the others.

Now I am having a hard time cropping my landscape images to fit the standard size of 5x7. When I use the preset, I have negative space where the landscape was. I am exhausted because I am trying to get all of these images completed.

Tip or just tell me what tools to use. It's difficult for me to handle the landscapes in preset sizes but that's what I have to do

That's odd. Maybe a bug? have you tried contacting technical support about this? I'll have a think about it but for now I'm a bit lost about why it wouldn't work, I must admit.

  3. Okay Affinity, you just teased me into thinking a registered user could just "download" the free macro pack. When I tried to retrieve the free macros I got a page asking for my name email etc. I got a message that said my email was registered. That's nice but why am I being blocked from getting a macro pack? I am running Affinity Photo 1.5.2. and I have OS Sierra running
  4. Hi. I don't know what I did wrong but all I want to do is re-set preferences with the original install of affinity photo 1.5.1. I just want to get my tool boxes back where they used to be and I don't know how to do it. I have uninstalled and re-installed but it isn't working. I just want to go back to the way things used to be!! :( :( :(
  5. I didn't think about trying that. Thanks for the suggestion. I was going to try the gaussian for the background but that's kind of a pain. Thanks for the suggestion.
  6. Hi. I have finally decided to stop wimping out and learn how to use the quick mask! Here's my question. I need to put something in the background once I get rid of the image. The photo is a tight shot in a crowd. I cropped as much as I can but this one dude just has to go. I need to replace where he used to be with something that resembles the background. Background is crowd, more people in the crowd. I just want to get in close on his hand holding the sign. If i am doing this the wrong way, let me know, or point me to the right tutorial Thank you! Are you paying attention.afphoto
  7. Hi. I attached 2 images. One that was supposed to be exported as a jpg but didn't even though I exported it as a jpg. The second I also exported as a jpg but I made sure the extension was a jpg. I added it to the name. artichokes and euco_sized.afphoto
  8. Is anyone else using Affinity 1.5.1 and using Squarespace? I am having problems just resizing images and exporting them as a jpg. Squarespace doesn't want to play nice all the time with my exported jpgs from Affinity. I get an error message from Squarespace saying it doesn't support Affinity files despite the fact that they are jpgs not AF files. Do I need to save as and flatten the image? I am stumped and I needed to work on my website yesterday!!
  9. What about 1.5.1? I still can't get the keyboard commands to work! Is there anything special that I am missing? I know keyboard commands but this is driving me bonkers!
  10. Hello. I am new to Affinity and right now I am working on the grunt work. The stuff we all hate but have to do. That brings me to my topic title. I have a bunch of photos that need to be re sized and I need to know how to do that in Affinity. I have searched all the videos on youtube but no one has tackled this thankless job using Affinity. Thanks!
