  1. The gradient pack can be installed in AP, that’s an afpalette file, go in swatch / hamburger / import.
  2. when you create that selection its from the pixel layer below, yes and its normal. Once you have you selection with marching ants, add a curve or a brightness/contrast if you want and it will be in a mask, the deselect the selection and do what you want to adjust and add more if you want. here’s a quick tutorial how to create luminosity mask https://affinity.serif.com/en-gb/tutorials/photo/desktop/video/317427603/
  3. Kind of yes for answer, AP is not a DAM and you have some few options to help with culling your images. With some search on this forum you can come to fastrawviewer or camera bits or you can even use bridge from adobe to be way faster than opening them all one by one in AP, there is also other program too! They go from free to expensive, yours to choose what fit your workflow. https://www.fastrawviewer.com/about-and-features https://home.camerabits.com/
  4. It work, there’s been quit a few thread regarding this. windows or mac?
  5. Good start, click “monochrome” box bottom left. Then change blend mode to linear light or overlay and reduce opacity because you probably over did it. Voila!
  6. Group your live filters, bring it above the pixel layer and merge down. Or just like Carl said, right clicking the pixel layer and select rasterize
  7. “cmd” “G” to group them then you can select merge down.
  8. It doesn’t take too long to load and save them though, click on luts name copy/paste so you don’t have to type anything. You should get that done in like 5 min.
  9. I understand your point but I have to give 100% yes for split forum. How many time you start reading to realize its for Designer or Publisher or Photo, because it wasn’t stated in the title which app was it for, its like every morning there’s 8 new pages of new threads, how many are for AP in those? Because I don't have Designer and no needs of Publisher, now I don’t care about pass the 2nd page, also because Publisher just been released... that’s getting more thread than AP & AD together. just simple please, 3 apps, 3 forum sections.
  10. On Mac you open AP, go to preference / colors, and change both default RGB profile.
  11. Maybe its time for Affinity to split the forum in 3 categories, one for each application so you can follow the one(s) you use.
  12. maybe an option to go in "edit" open with... all 3 Affinity software icons, plus the ability to add some RAW software you use like C1, PL, Luminar, ON1 etc..
  13. now that Affinity is set with AP, AD and now Publisher, is there some more work in progress for a DAM interface? no import needed, using your file folder/renaming/creating/organizing, drag and drop, rating with numbers/colors/stars, option to open file with a selection of preferred software. What else to be included?
  14. http://www.miguelboto.com/affinity/photo/plugins-support/mac/ that's a list of what is supported. all you can do is save as .tiff or .dng and open in the other software.
  15. I thought only macros only could be imported not those without the “s” ? I don’t run AP on PC so I don’t know neither is drag and drop work for them.
  16. I usually just drag the macro to AP icon while AP is running, never had issues doing it this way. A pop up window the appear saying its been install without issues. maybe not the what supposed to be done but its faster then going in burger menu choosing import, locating the macro then import it.
  17. There’s another thread regarding that ghost plugin, some see them and others can’t get them. Sorry I don’t have the thread link for it.
  18. To apply the crop yes, you click apply or enter on keyboard. Once you select crop tool (c), you can choose unconstrained, original size or custom size, to get the lock to edges, if I’m not wrong is from the red U shape magnet icon top middle bar. When you move your crop selection you’ll see a red and green line appearing meaning you’re aligned horizontal and/or vertical. *that picture above was an image result of google search.
